   He wasn't sure what he was going to do now. He wanted to tell her, but he didn't. Looking towards the place where they usually met, Gaara turned to the cubs that were following him. "Kesi...Keiji...do Daddy a favor and stay behind," he motioned to a large boulder about 5 feet away. " That boulder until i call you. I need to talk to someone. And do not argue, just do it." He said simply before striding off towards his goal. His stomach was hurting.Kesi was about to protest, but as her daddy walked away, she made her way to the boulder, now very scared. Looking behind her, she called to her brother. "Kei! come on we need to do what Daddy said." She whispered.Keiji turned and followed his sister, his tail firmly tucked between his legs. "okay, sis...There's going to be four of us right?" If his dad was going to talk to TWO someones...he'd freak.

 There she was, sitting...waiting for the lion that had managed to captivate her. That had managed to encase her heart within his protective sands. She prayed that he would show this time. It had been some time since she seen him last. Why hadn't he been showing? Picking up a familiar scent she turned to look. "Gaara!" Without hesitation she ran for him.

Just the sight of her sent his heart racing. She was so beautiful in the way she ran, she was beautiful even when she was just sitting. But he was still scared. "Valora, my dearest..." He whispered as she reached him, and he reached out to nuzzle her. Oh, he had been gone too long. Far too long.
Kesi looked out from behing the boulder. Who was that lioness Daddy was talking to? She wasn't mommy...but they sure were...Was that daddy's mate? "Hey Kei, i think that's Daddy's love..."
Keiji paid no attention..this didn't concern him..." Kes...just be quiet okay? Dad said to be quiet so be. Quiet." he hissed angrily.

"My sweet desert rose where have you been. It's been so long since I've been able to feel your touch, smell your scent, seen your face...I was so worried about you." She purred at his nuzzled and returned his affection with one of her own soon after and placed a kiss on his cheek.

"I am so very sorry..." But words could not even begin to express how sorry he was. He fought them, but tears leaked out of his eyes. "I am more sorry than i ever thought i could be...I'm so sorry..." he began to sob. What was he going to do? he loved her so much..she loved him..How was he...

He took a deep breath..then slowly let it out as he looked towards the large boulder. "Kesi...Keiji...come on out now..." he said softly, staying close to his beloved. He wanted to hold her, to make sure she didn't run away...But what she did was what would decide his life now...
Kesi was the first to start walking. She listened to Gaara unconditionally, but still stopped a few feet from her Daddy and the strange lady...she looked so nice...
Keiji however, sat for a few moments before slinking out after his sister. He was frightened, and wanted nothing more than to go to sleep by his mother...

Gaara didn't have to say who they belonged to. She knew well by their scents and looks. They resembled their father a great deal and this broke her heart. Yes she was happy that he now had children that would show him the love and affection that he deserved...but it pained her to know that they had come from another female. Her heart had shattered into many pieces but she put on a strong front and held back the tears for now. Swallowing hard to keep the sob from escaping her maw, she offered the kits a warm and welcoming smile.
"They're beautiful..... It's a pleasure to meet the two of you."

"This is Kesi...and Keiji." Looking to his children he smiled sadly. "This is Valora...the one i love." Looking back to his beloved, he swallowed back his tears and began to speak. "They...they are mine through...rape. A lion with..a problem forced me and a recent friend to...And i had no control over myself...he took my mind...But i was...I was hoping we could...be a family together..." He nuzzled her neck gently, hoping he had said the right things. He had practiced this over and over again, but each time he slipped and said something different. He was scared now...
Kesi looked at the lioness and felt like a weight had been lifted. She went to her and rubbed against her leg, purring. Gaara didn't have to say it, but she felt as if she was going to have two mommies.
Keiji didn't feel the same way, and just slinked under Gaara. The thought of having -four- parents was weird...

Her eyes went blank when those words entered her ears and her heart just stopped. Rape...he was...she blinked and returned Gaara's nuzzles as well as Kesi's. "I've failed you. I was supposed to be there to protect you and yet I wasn't. I'm so sorry Gaara. I'm so sorry." Her body was trembling at this point as tears left her eyes.

"Please do not cry...It wasn't your fault and you have in no way failed me. I'm supposed to protect you, not the other way around. I'm the one who should be sorry for being so stupid...At least we have each other...and at least we are both safe." He got as close as he could to her, wanting to go back in time and stop himself from going into that cave. He wanted things to be simple again.
Sensing that something was up, having not paid attention, Kesi Stood on her hind legs and licked off first Gaara's tears, then Valora's. She didn't like crying, although she did so herself quite a bit. "Is everything alright?"
