Pandora The spotted Uniklaona looked out from the mountain she had called home for so long. It was no longer covered in snow, though its height you would expect it, rather it was covered in green grass. The vegetation that covered the mountains sprouted light pink and white blossoms. The breeze had turned from bitter cold to a warmer more filling wind. Spring had came to releve the lands of frost and ice.
Her own winterset eyes watched the lands below as small animals came from there winter hideouts. Deer and bison congregated to feed on the new grass, bears woke from there long sleep.
She sighed softly wondering what this life had left for her.

Cloven hoofprints, far to big for a deer, were being practically stampped into the ground. The cause? A rather large half-blood kalona, a bit irked about how it was Spring already. Cause with Spring came gleeful lovers and more abnoxious foals and fillies. Lucky for him this also quite possibly meant that the pure-bloods of his kind would either shy away more due to all the sickening 'love in the air' or give all the couples and their plainblood spawn a fair amount of trouble.
Either way they left picking on half-bloods off top priority for awhile.
So, the stallion plodded away, wondering instead now what he'd encounter.

Her nostrils flared as she scented a male of half blooded nature...kalona. She growled lowly as she scanned below. It didn't take long but she spotted him, pink as the blossoms around her. She got to her own cloved feet and reared and let out a screaming neigh. Warning him that he was entering her lands that she had claimed for herself. If he meant trouble he was history if he meant no harm she would be fine with him in her prescence but at this moment she was uncertain.
Her eyes watched him from above. Her wings lefting with the winds. Her teeth bared as she gazed at him.

Over the bird's chirpping and the Spring creatures stirring came an unmistakable sound. That of a rather angered mare. Stopping slowly and gazing into the direction of which it came, he noticed her.
Kalona wings, a devil's tail and horns that he could barely make out at the distance. And so Parix made an assumption based on what he could see. A pureblood. Great... he sneered to himself, and apparently I'm in 'her space' too. Right when he'd thought himself safe, how ironic.
He stood poised, unafraid and unthreatening to let her know he wished confrontation without bloodshed. He didn't quite know how to properly handle the situation and by 'proper' he meant without having to get some crazed kalona chick off his butt over something he was unaware of.
So, he just decided to stand there, awaiting to see if she'd land so he could tell her to step off of it since he was just passing through unknowingly. Rediculous really how much purebloods value space over more important things...

Her tail curled around her back leg, she really didn't want to go down there..she did have the advantage of wings though. She sighed softly as she spread her wings and jumped of the steepened cliff to fall down to the lower levels in which he stood.
Her cold blue eyes were on him as soon as she hit the ground. He wasn't paticulary ugly...he was actually quite intriguing looking. He could pull off pink at least. That made her smile on the inside.
She too was a half breed the only way anyone could tell would be the unicorn horn that sprouted from the middle of her head. She made sure she kept her space, half breeds and kalonas alike hadn't been paticulary nice to her and her eyes showed it more than anything. She was not innocent but at sometimes it could sure seem like it.
She just looked at him waiting for him to say something, she tilted her had softly as she watched him.

When she landed, Parix held his tongue. After moments silence he relaxed a bit. The yelling and scowling he'd embraced himself for had not happened---she spoke not even a word. Tough exterior only?Perhaps? he wondered.
Finally he decided to say nothing more that "I was just passing through" rather blandly to see what would happen. Now that she was upclose he had better time to study her. He was right about her appearing full-blood but suddenly something caused his slitted eyes to widen. What he was doubting he actually saw appeared to be that of a uni's horn.
Parixaeus 'fondly' reffered to them as 'sticks in the middle of one's face' and always wondered how they'd serve any good purpose should they get into a battle or need to appear threatening. However, she DID have regular horns, so even though he felt like bursting out laughing, he figured he'd best not say anything on it...
But after a moment of silence and bitting his tongue, Parixaeus quickly lost that battle. Finally he lost the fight and let out a good sounding sarcastic snigger.

"Where to?" she asked quietly before a longer awkward silence appeared. Her eyes that seemed innocent now suddenly within the blink of an eye turned to wrath and hate.
She watched him smirk and her voice went into a low growl, "Is there something funny?" she bared her fangs at him. To tell the truth the unicorn horn was actually better for slicing and dicing then the kalonas. The kalona horns were more for a blunt blow.
Her tail flicked behind her agitatedly, he was more a half breed than her. His horns were the only thing that made him a misfit in the regular horsebreed community.

At her harsh reaction about the snigger he sighed, "Oh just wondering why you have a uni's horn." He was a lot more polite and less sarcastic than usually. He genuinely was kinda curious. She looked so pure kalona he wondered how that was possible.
"And to answer the 1st question...nowhere. At least I didn't really have a destination so to speak. Litterally just passing by" he replied again. Did everyone always have to be going somewhere? With reason?

Her eyes narrowed, "I'm a half breed that's why. If you have a problem with it, better be moving faster!" she sneered.
Her eyes went back to be gentle, "Well that would be just silly," she responded softly. "He's a half breed too, no wings nor tail. Pft he's worse of than myself."
She blinked, "Well there was no need for the snickering." she responded hastily.
"Indeed, but others have their reasons..." her softer self responded.
The unikalona was torn in half for her two parts of kalona and unicorn. Two personalities both having their own ways. Own minds, and own mouths that resided in one being. No one had ever accepted for that, which was probably why she was still alone now.

"You're right. I shouldn't have. It just struck me as very off."
This was the 1st shocking appology that Parix had ever given and even more amazing was it was of upmost sincerity. He most likely wouldn't have said it though had he not keeny picked up on the mare's confliction. He too deep down was conflicted. Half of him wanted nothing more than to embrace the kalona of him, to not give damn about anything and be cruel. But due to his being half plain-blood he somehow craved, and of coarse was more than curious about, matters of living a more 'tame' life: Taking on a beautiful mate and having her proudly carry on their own half-breed bloodline.
"You seem to of coarse understand the confliction of our kind? Those of which who share blood of two kinds? Stuck inbetween two worlds and finding it hard to embrace just one or the other?" Parix began softly. He always sounded to philosophical when he wasn't letting his more sarcastic side speak for him. "I too, as you have already analysed, am half-blood. Half of the kalona, half of a plain-blood" he added.
He was more and more curious now, so excited he hardly was giving her time to answer his previous questions. "I think---to be 'pure' anything you loose touch of it all. Being half is more of a perfection since you can see imperfections in the 'pure-blood' of a specific kind. Pure's are clearly blind to that. Take a lot -not all- of kalonas for example. The purer they are the more blind to their lack of intellegence. They let pure bloodlust and violence rule them" he'd previously added the 'not all' rather seriously so as not to be taken wrong or as if he was reffering to her in the category.
This time, finally, he waited for her reply. Hoping she wasn't too conflicted at to argue with him AND herself at the matter.

"Yes..." she paused.
"I like flowers and the thought of settling down thrills me, however..." she said softly.
"...I love blood and the thought of having offspring to carry out my deeds is better than having a life long mate. That is unless he can provide all the other males cannot. Someone strong." she replied in her deeper tones.
"Someone who is understanding," she tested with herself.
"I understand the conflictions very well indeed, both sides hold a part of me and they both show." she frowned softly. "But they can agree at some points. My softer side seems to be out more in the day and my kalona side during the night irronically. Though as of late they come out randomly." she admitted.
"...she's afraid that I am going to hurt one of those whom she holds dear." her kalona side growled.
She shook her head.
"But she doesn't realize how much control I really have." the kalona smirked.
"I'm sorry if this is frightning you. I really can't help it. But I agree with you. The imperfections that the pure bloods see are the perfections that are hiding inside." she smiled softly.
"I'm Pandora, who are you?" she asked curiously in her innocent tone.

"Scaring? Hardly...I have a neice who thinks she's got a demonic soul since her 'father' -although not kalona or skinwalker- is as such apparently. I'm used to it" Parixaeus replied seriously with a sort of 'tsk' noise at the end.
"Also---it depends what you value as strong? Strong willed? Minded as in intellegent? Or brawn type strong?" he added at random, "Same with understanding...understanding of half-breeds conflictions? Or of your own personal conflictions? Or just 'understanding' in general." For a second it seemed like he was considering himself in the running. Interesting.
After a moment he smiled. "Pandora" he repeated, "Lovely." Still no sarcasm, and his tone was intruiged and honest. He had no reason to be disrespectful anymore, the mare was more than being reasonable with him.
"I'm Parixaeus" he nodded.

Her ears flicked as she listened to him, he was intriguing indeed and more interesting by the second. "Thank you." she replied to his compliment.
"Parixaeus, you say." she replied in deeper tones. "You are most interesting, I do approve however. Your intelligence is likeable or perhaps the concepts your mind expresses."
She laughed softly, almost childish. "He's just likeable. Not like those mean kalonas...well the ones we've met. Though not many of them lived to see the nect day." she blinked.
"Some two leggers pitted kalonas and breeds alike of dangerous nature against each other and gambled on there strengths and weaknesses." she reminded herself. "Though when they escaped there handlers chains they could no longer bet one cent after loosing limbs and blood."
"...so much blood." she whimpered. She looked back up to him. "I'm sorry, I've never told anyone that. Forgive me for getting to personal Parixaeus."

"Its nothing. That doesn't sound all that pleasant to have witnessed---or partook in?" he wasn't quite sure he understood her. She switched back and forth often and it was hard to tell if her kalona side was trying to frighten her or if it was her addressing him on a real life event.
"Either way, my condolances. I talk tough, I'm very sarcastic to those I don't know or whom don't know me...but honestly I don't think I'd shed blood unless it was nessisary" he added.

"Partook," she corrected him. "Sometimes I'm not very pleasant like now." her lips twisted. "And I can't help it, sometimes I don't remember." she sighed softly. "I think you are quite pleasant." she smiled, lightly.
