If you have assumed that the administrators of Shinkami were not busy people and tend to sit and chat or do unspeakable things to each other have tea all day long, then you cannot be further from the truth. Everyday, hundreds and thousands of papers were piled on each advisor's (and headmaster's) desks. They are applications, submitted by schools or individuals, presenting boys all over the world in hopes that some of them were smart enough to get in. Rest assured that some of them are, in fact, able to enter the school...will you be one of them?

Welcome to SSoS's Student Application archive AKA the quest forum, if you prefer to call it. This is the place where you can develop your dream student character before he is accepted into the school. You may use your quest thread as a journal, or simply use it to contain some basic information. Nonetheless, your quest thread should tell us what your student will be like, and how good will he do in the school if he was accepted.

So what do the administrators look for other than your 300 IQ and 4.5 GPAs and your perfect academic record? Well, we often look for, and ask ourselves the following questions when reviewing an application:

1. What talent does the student have?

-SSoS accepts TALENTED boys. So in order to enter, you must have some kind of talent BESIDES being a good student. It doesn't matter what kind of talent you have, be it in music, arts, sports, etc etc...but keep in mind that you are up against many other students. Sure, Artistic is a good talent to have, but if every student has that talent, then it's no longer a talent...in other words, make the talent unique, amuse us, come up with a talent WITHIN HUMAN CAPABILITY (your student, despite how smart or good looking he was, is still human. Do not tell us that your student's talented at flying...humans can't fly, and all we know from this is that you are a bad liar).

2. What kind of person is the student?

-This is, perhaps, one of the most important criteria. The keyword for this is "quirk". There are thousands and thousands of different personalities out there - what makes your student's personality stand out? Concentrate on a single highlight of your student's personality, and show it, make it significant to us. Even though the world is almost destroyed, it is not necessary that everyone's perception be depressing as hell and think we are all going to die, so be realistic when thinking about your student's personality. Finally, leave some space for development. Your student is young when coming in to the school, so having a personality of an adult is quite unlikely and really, AVOID MARY SUES. Flaws often make a person more interesting than perfection.

3. What kind of history does the student have?

-The thing to stress here is the same thing that is stressed in the previous point. Even though the world's half-dead, not everyone has a tragic past, and each child is not an orphan. When the Aliens attacked, they killed randomly. They didn't just kill all the adults and leave all children behind. Heck, they even killed babies! But you get the point. Be realistic, but make it stand out. How to do this will have to require some brain power on your part. x3

4. What attitude does the student have toward the school/saving the world?

-We are not all philosophers. Keep in mind that your students are boys, so boys should have a a brain that a boy would normally have. It doesn't matter if you'd rather die than going to the school. If you have a good reason behind it, we are dragging you here whether you like it or not.

5. How does the student look when compared to others? AKA what makes the student stand out?

-If anything, this will determine your chance of getting into the school. Think differently, think outside of the box. We highly recommend you to read over the existing student profiles as well as your fellow-quester's students (provided that you don't steal his/her idea). Chances are, if an idea is original to you, it is also original to others. But if we are living in a world of the same originality, then original become mundane, and we don't want that. So look around. The most simple and plain idea may become to the most appealing to us depending on where we find it.

Overall...be realistic, be quirky, and be unique.

We give complete freedom on how you are going to organize your quest page. However, a quest page must include the following:

-Player's Name: (your gaia username)
-Student's Full Name: (should reflect the student's nationality/heirtage)
-Student Info: (this includes age, family history, nationality, heirtage, personality, hobby, talent, interest, and appearance)
NOTE: SSoS students come in at ages 13-15, please so not go anything below or above that range!
-An RP Sample: (this is not just any RP sample, it is where you show us how you would RP your student. So yes, this has to be newly typed, in third person, and with your student as the central character).

Even Moar Tips to Increase Your Chance:

-Be organized! Make the page easy for us to read.
-Be a good maintainer! Update your quest page as often as you need. This will show us that you are serious about getting a student.
-Be active! Drop by in the main thread and let us know you! It would sadden us greatly if your student's extremely interesting but he'd disappear as soon as he enters the school. v_v

*Note: Toa and Chrys, the two owners of the shop, will not let you into the school if you cannot be active under any circumstances. We have learned enough lessons in the past, so don't blame us if you can't take care of your student. >_>

Will we be nitpicking on your concept when you are done? Yes, yes we will. However, we will never give you specific instructions as to who your student would become, that's your job. XD

In fact, anyone who owns a student is allowed to provide critiques to your concept. Of course, they should always be constructive and not overly demanding. It is up to you if you want to listen or not. Your concept will be accepted into the application FS as soon as we think you are ready. Your quest thread will never be deleted as long as the shop stands, and they will be locked once you are able to obtain your student.
