Okay so this topic is for sharing food recipes that are fast and cheap to make. Once I find my folder I'll start posting more in. Feel free to post your own! I love trying new things.
Candied Bananas (Granola Honey Butter Banannas)
What you'll need: Popsicle sticks A knife A decent sized bowl A plate A spoon Food processor or blender (if your granola isn't already fine crushed) Microwave (to melt peanut butter in the bowl)
Food Stuffs: Fresh bananas Honey Peanut butter (smooth or crunchy) Some granola (any type, I like the chocolate chip kind)
We will do it to make 4 servings.
Take 2 bananas, peel and slice them in half. Push 4 popsicle sticks (one each banana half) into the cut ends to make them like suckers and lay them to the side on a plate.
Take about 8-10 tablespoons of your peanut butter and put it in the bowl. Pop it into the microwave for a few second until it's melted. About a half minute usually works with mine. Add in the honey to suit your own tastes. More makes it sweeter. Mix it together well with a spoon and then drop it onto the fruit. Slather it over the bananas to suit your self ^^
Now if your granola isn't fine crushed chop it up into smaller pieces in a food processor or blender. Then take and sprinkle it over the peanut butter honey mix on top of the bananas.. How much you use there is up to you. This makes a fun and crunchy sweet treat for anytime. And you can switch it up by using plain granola, types with other fruit etc.
I honestly think it tastes better if you chill them in the fridge for a few minutes before you eat them. Enjoy! =^_^=
