As many would know, pearls of any sort are a valuable piece of jewelery. Commonly found in the West in the mines of the Harvest Moon villages, or in the east in the Pokemon lands underneath the waters in the Hoenn reigion.
Pink pearls, basically a pearl that has been aging for 50 years, are the middle class pearl and fetch a higher bit of popularity than normal pearls do.
However, a new pearl has been discovered. The Golden Pearl. This pearl has been inside of an oyster for 100 years or more. And yet, it isn't the last pearl that can be discovered.
After 1000 years, I believe the Golden pearl will change yet again into an aquamarine stone. This is a rare light blue gem that can be found on floor 20 in the season of winter in Flower bud Village.
The rarest pearl, the black pearl, is said to fetch the most popularity because of its relation to the ship with the identical name. This pearl is said to be the final pearl inside of an oyster because it will only form after the oyster has died. But, what makes it rare is that no oyster as of yet has lived long enough to create such a pearl.
Likewise, what someone might do is that if they discover a normal pearl inside of an oyster, and then eat the oyster, but take out the pearl, if they age that thing, then eventually, it will grow into a black pearl.

Golden pearls are usually used for those who wish to have good luck when it comes to money. If you own one, its best to gift it to someone very special. This can be a substitute for a wedding ring it is that good to have.
Its one of them things that can define who you are.
