(Continued from Reno's Plan) "Well, that's the problem my family has. The more aggressive plants try to take over our bodies by confining us in a section of our mind, I have the blackberry in a closet right now. But the second they get control over not just the vines but the body, they find ways to try and ruin your life and make it their own. I know because it almost happened with me." Vulcan continued to explain, twitching his tail in uncertainty and shuffling his paws. Should he really tell Fauna all this now? Even if she wanted to know? It was making him a little nervous, it was his secret, and a pretty decent sized one.

Fauna tried eagerly to take all of this in. It was sort of weird, she thought, to be dealing with this sort of magical stuff. She knew it must be hard for him and sat a little closer to him as if to comfort him. Sensing his mental desitions she turned her head to one side and spoke softly. "If you aren't ready to tell me that is fine. I'll be here waiting if you are." She laid her head on top of his paws to stop them from shuffling and closed her eyes.

"I want to tell you," the dark male began, looking down at her pretty face, "but I'm afraid of what you'll think of me." Vulcan blinked, his vines tightening around his legs before he looked away. "I mean, even though we just met I really like you, and it's something that could really change ones life if they're not careful, for better or for worse. I haven't been able to return to Hreidmar for it, which is another reason why you wouldn't have ever seen me, and why I haven't seen my sister in years."

Fauna blinked then nodded, unsure of what to say. "I trust that what ever you have done can be un-done but... as for what I will think of you I cannot be sure." She looked into his deep purple eyes and added, "You didn't kill anyone did you?" She looked unsure but held his gaze.

The male was about to answer the first question when the second question struck him almost painfully in his heart, his eyes closing painfully not at the latter but at the memory and the guilt he felt. As if that wasn't already a clear indication he nodded slowly. "I did. Well, my body did when it was under control." He replied, unable to hold her gaze. "The blackberry persuaded me to give it control once long ago to ease my stress. I fell into a kind of unconscience state, unaware of what the plant was doing with my body until it returned control to me the next morning. I awoke in a cave I was not familiar with, blood on my vines. He began to speak to me, warning me sadistically to not return to Hreidmar and told me to look in the back of the cave. I remember my heart was pounding hard and fast, much like it is now, as I went to investigate. There on the cave floor was the body of a clanmate that had been ruthless towards me, torturing me relentlessly. It seemed the blackberry thought it the best excuse to kill...." Vulcan couldn't even face her now and began to turn away.

Fauna frowned momentarily and then pressed her lips into a hard line. It would take a long time for her to get used to this. And she knew that he would have to make up for this somehow, but she hoped that she would be there to help him. It wasn't his fault that he was, for lack of a better word, cursed like this. Parhaps he really did need someone to help him through it. She only wondered if she could be the one. She gazed at him, waiting unitl his eyes met her own. "I can't that I completely forgive you. You'll have to find a way to repay his family, or make up for your actions. But I only hope that..." She paused, looked at her feet and then back up to him, "You'll let me help you."

When she started speaking he braced himself. Now his past was revealed, and everything was up in the air. Whether she deemed them friends or not, if they could have any sort of relationship at all even, and if she wanted to hate him. Vulcan wanted to look at Fauna, but his fears held him back. Clenching the indigo eyes tight he managed to slowly turn his head and open his eyes. He still wasn't looking fully at her, but his head was turned enough to where he could see her when he looked in the corner of his eye.
"But I only hope that..." She had paused.
I've tried hundreds of times to try and repay his family, but something's always held me back. He thought to himself during the pause. His heart seemed to hang in suspense, she still hadn't made her final answer.
"You'll let me help you."
A great sigh of relief escaped his maw, his eyes closing briefly and a small smile began to show before he was able to face her. "I would love it if you helped me." Came his grateful reply, relief from at long last having someone that was willing to stick with him. "I must warn you of the cost you might have to pay if you help me though. I'd hate for anything bad to happen to you, or anyone, on my account."
"I hate this." He said suddenly in despiration. "It feels like I can't do anything without the fear of ruining someone's life."
