I'm in my second year at college and one of my subjects is English Literature. Right now I'm doing coursework which is an essay on "Justice and prejudice in Snow Falling on Cedars (a novel) and The Crucible (a play)" and its sooo hard! It has to be atleast 3000 words sweatdrop
I hate essays in general, I do law as well which requires a lot of essay writting... crying
Does anyone else feel my pain? Does anyone else really hate essays? or is there someone out there who loves them?

Lol, Sorry, kiddo, but I can't say that my heart bleeds for you. I'm still in high school, and I had to do an essay on The Crucible, 2000 words long, and I did it without complaining once. xd If I can do it, you certainly can.

I'm not a huge fan of essays but I don't all that much mind them, but of course that all depends on the subject that we're writing about. Then again I probably haven't had anything all that hard yet seeing as I'm still only in Junior High.

I feel so small and young ! ~

The Crucible! Ahah. Glory could go on and on about justice and prejudice in that play.
It's always been good at essays.
3k+ words isn't that hard. Then again, it's used to writing 5k+ words for a "short" intrawebz roleplay reply, so...there's not much that can be said abot Glory having a life. gonk

lol Try flox's 10 page research paper in fancy APA format not including the abstract(summary page), reference page, title page...flox would happily take 3k words. xp

Huh. I think I'm supposed to be writing some essay on Shakespeare that counts for a lot of my grade. But I'm not entirely sure. Hmmm.

Cliffnotes is good too. =D
I don't mind essays all that much.
Research papers, however, I am not much of a fan of.

I can type my bum off, no skin off my teeth. 10k+ words easily.
Then it's time for actual -writing- and I'm like "NOOO! Just pull my fingernails off instead!"... And I do the bare-minimum I can get away with. xp It's sad, I know.
When I was younger and we first started homeschooling, once I did a comic strip instead of a essay once.... and I actually got an A+ and my mom tried to get me to do it again.. I told her no and went back to doing essays with a firey passionate hatred. ;D
So I dun like them, unless I can type-print 'em. lol

I've always hated essays, but it's not like I can get away from them. Just had to write one today on a test on The Flivver King by Upton Sinclair. But it took awhile. xP
I hate writing when someone tells me what to write. I'm perfectly fine when I want to write, but when I need to write for class, I freak out and try to push it off until it's too late, and then I stress like hell.
