I want to know more about it, i've always wanted to try it! Share your experiences here.
What instrument did you play? How many people were with you, or was it just yourself? How much money did you make? Did you enjoy the experience? Is it worthwhile? Did you busk close to home? Did you have to buy a busking license?

Busking is pretty much taking your talents to a city street in hopes of donations and tips.
*In the United States, buskers are more often called street performers or street musicians. -Wiki*

Actually, my friends and I took the streets during a small-town festival. We had a pretty talented violinist friend who always played, so we borrowed instruments from a local church and created "music" next to him. We made about 30 bucks in 30 minutes, which was pretty good considering we weren't actually a band. I got to play the harmonica, which I never did before. Good times.

What instrument did you play? guitar/vocals How many people were with you, or was it just yourself? Just me How much money did you make? I did it for around an hour and a half and made $150 Did you enjoy the experience? Yeh its cool, meet alot of people who like the same kind of music as you and who wanna know when u realease new albums, or who arae regulare listeners Is it worthwhile? Definently, you make quite a bit of money just sittin' there jammin with yourself Did you busk close to home? About 20 minutes tramming it and i'm in the middle of the city on my little busking corner. Did you have to buy a busking license? Yup! its not so bad... about 300-400 bucks a year, dependin on where you wanna busk. So it pretty profitable if you do it regualarly
you know the Violent Femmes were picked up busking biggrin

just ring up the local council of wherever you want to busk and ask 'em about it. its cheaper the further you are away from inner city.
A lot of people don't buy the busking liscences. They get booked within the month. If you dont buy a lisence i suggest staying in train station or something.
Usually you dont need a lisence if your out in the suburbs, 'cause police and council guys dont patrol so much around there.
and DONT take another guy's spot. people pick up on this and report you. and if the guy had a lisence, he can sue you biggrin
