Oh wow, I wasn't aware of this. Apparently the admins went on a massive banning spree in an attempt to get rid of fishing bot accounts and quite a few innocent accounts ended up getting blocked from the site on accident. Some people were fishing at the time and others weren't even online and found out that they couldn't log on when they decided to sign back on. At least the admins are planning on unbanning all of the accounts that weren't really bots. [ ]

How exactly are they going to weed out bots from people-ish accounts? =/ There's still a margin of error I'd think.

[ ] I'm not sure what criteria they were using. The obvious bots are the ones with the usernames like "dfsgmksmzkf". So hopefully a lot of those are gone now. [ ]

I don't think it really stops them from making more accounts, unless the IP's banned. sad

[ ] I would hope that the admins IP banned the people who actually had the bot accounts. [ ]

[ ] Getting your IP address banned is like, the worst possible ban. [ ]

I'd make a horrible Mod/Admin in reality. I'd be too quick to IP Ban. Of course, I'm sure there are plenty of procedures to follow before one should resort to such a drastic action... Give or take in situations like the fishing game.

[ ] I'd be a good mod/admin because I don't do that. sweatdrop
I dunno, I've always wanted to to a mod on this site. Your name shows up in green...But that's just a perk and not the sole reason why I'd want to be one. [ ]

I probably fall somewhere in between, unless the person has an obvious spam SN, because those are just annoying. gonk

[ ] If I was a mod, I wouldn't be afraid to ban scammers/hackers. They'd be gone with no hesitation. I can't stand those people.
When it comes to guilds, the only people that I wouldn't hesitate to ban are people that are blatantly harrassing others. [ ]
