Eye color: A gleaming ruby red, though his eyes are somewhat sunken in and usually only the irises reflect the light giving his eyes an eerie, dark quality
Skin color: An ashy charcoal shade of dark gray darkening to a gleaming obsidian shade over his arachnid abdomen and lower half
Body build: Sovix is very lean and lithe almost bordering on an unhealthy appearance. His tauric, spider-like lower half is bulbous and the exoskeleton gleams, but his spindly eight legs have taken on a sharp, skeletal quality.
Hair color/length/style: Sovix's hair is left long and is bleached-bone white. It isn't styled in any particular manner being generally left to lay as it is or pulled back into a clasp for practical reasons.
Unusual Features: As a drider Sovix appears like a normal drow from the waist up. However his skin begins to slowly become chitinous from the abdomen down and his lower half is that of a monstrous spider. Sovix's eye teeth are more pronounced and he speaks with a sibilant hiss as such. Finally, Sovix's fingers are long and spindly ending in sharp talon-like points and remain this way even if he tries to disguise himself with magic. Lloth's curse upon the failures of drow society is not so easily hidden.
Tattoos/Markings: Sovix's spider-like lower half bears red warning markings which gleam boldly against the dark black exoskeleton.
Carried items: Sovix always has his holy symbol with him, usually strung from a chain of some sort and tucked beneath his shirt or tunic. If visible, the symbol is a drowess' hand with each finger decked in silver rings, the symbol of Kiaranselee the drow goddess of Vengeance and Undeath.
Clothing: Sovix generally wears a simple, dark-colored tunic over his torso if he bothers to wear any clothing at all. When disguising himself as a normal drow he also wears matching breeches and his piwafwi. During rituals, ceremonies, or other rare events where Sovix feels it's called for he may wear a more robe-like garment over his upper half with ceremonial decor and motifs representative of death/undeath or of his Lady's holy symbol (see above). Such occasions are rare, though, and most often Sovix wears only what clothing is necessary.
Armor: Generally, none. Sovix is more of a mystic and would use magic to either enchant his clothing or erect a protective shield if necessary.
Weapons: Generally Sovix focuses more of magic, though if necessary he may wield basic weapons such as staves, daggers, and basic blades. This would only happen in life-or-death situations when he couldn't resort to magic, though.
Jewelry: Sovix may be depicted wearing rings on his fingers (an homage to his goddess) or an amulet if desired. Sovix ALWAYS has a silver ring with a shimmering web pattern design on his left hand ring finger. This is his house ring that he wears as a member of Sril've Cress and cannot be removed save by cutting off his finger.
Missing (or extra) appendages: Sovix has the body of a monstrous, eight-legged spider from the waist down. His upper body has no extra appendages, though.
Character Personality: Sovix is perhaps best known for his wry sense of humour, an attribute he attributes to far too much time around Lilyanna when she was part of the original House Sril've Cress. However his sense of humour is as often twisted and gruesome as it is sincerely humourous, especially in recent times. After the Or'lathi war Sovix withdrew a bit and wasn't as active in the house as he once was. However recently he has been seen somewhat more often, though those who knew him well say that something has definitely changed about the wily drider.
Alignment: Neutral Evil
Affiliation: While it is unknown exactly where Sovix's loyalties in the city lie, it is certain that he maintains strong ties with House Synalar and at least tenuous ties with House Mortuus. Sovix generally spends more time at the Flesh Carver's Institute than at any place in the Ward of the Damned, but he seems to be one of the few outside of the residents of House Mortuus' ward who isn't deterred by the monstrosity that is Korruutemas. Nevertheless, even Sovix will tell you he maintains a 'healthy distance from the draegloth at times'.
Class: Mystic Theurge
Background: Sovix recounts his life before being cursed by Lloth very rarely if at all and never mentions his old house or the city of his birth. Whatever he was before becoming a drider has been boxed up as a deep, bitter, and hateful old memory. What Sovix recounts is the day that he began hearing the whispers of a group of outcasts from drowic society who were banding together. The trail that led to them ended in a bloody conclusion as he tracked them down to the battlefield of Tsarra's former house, House Draconis, as they lay waste to the inhabitants. The distrust and disgust of both parties when Sovix revealed himself was palpable, but Sovix managed to prove himself enough in the final assault to be tenuously accepted into the fold. There were many of the Cress who despised him for what he was, what he constantly reminded them of. After all, he was a failure to any drow, one who had let fear run rampant in his heart until it had eaten him from the inside out and turned him into a hated abomination. However he had garnered the approval of the Ilharn after he was tested and officially brought into the fold, and gradually the fears and mistrust began to subside somewhat. There would always be those who hated Sovix for what he was, but here he had found kindred spirits and a place to belong to a greater cause, something any drow, even one turned drider, could appreciate.
As time passed and Sovix's faith in the Lady of Vengeance grew, he began to explore the mysteries of death and undeath. After the Or'lathi returned for the second time and the Cress were forced to migrate to their new home, Sovix disappeared for a time for reasons unknown save to, perhaps, the Ilharn and Zentash. Rumours abound that the drider left to search for a way to cheat death and become closer to his goddess, though whether he has succeeded or failed and the truth of the matter itself even is unknown as of yet.
