So recently, I came across a 4X10 mesa cab on clearance, and as anyone would do, I snagged it. Along with that I got a Mark Bass head to complete the combo. For a long time now, Ive always loved the sound a mesa can put out, nothing but good tone. And Mark Bass just recently became available to my area and Im quite impressed, for how small the heads are, the tone is amazing and they are powerful.
Discuss: What you think of Mesa (and because Ive never seen a thread about it) Discuss Mark Bass

Heard nothing but good things about Mesa stuff, but personally, I'd be way more stoked about picking up the Markbass, I'm assuming you're talking about the Little Mark, which is amazing.

Yeah, I got a little mark 2. I dont think I'll ever buy another brand of head after playing this thing.

Ive played mesa amps. before. i happen to think theyre amazing. i forget exactly which one i was trying out when they had one at guitar center but it was a combo. i think single 15inch speaker. 300 watts. i looked at the price and almost freaked out. of course this was when i had only been playing 6 months so i didnt know better. but now that i look back on it id have to say mesa amps are worth the money.

One of the things I like that Ive heard about MarkBass is that they are suppose to be really light weight.

MarkBass is some really good stuff, and i've been thinking of picking one up as my next amp, too. i'm just worried about the warranty and the stability of them, because nobody i know owns one. could you enlighten me as to the build of the products? i know mesa is some incredible equipment, though. my dad's been playing a Stereo SimulClass 295 for years, and it's incredible, one of the guitarists for my band uses a Dual Rectifier, and the stuff they have down at their store in Hollywood blows me away.

The build feels pretty solid, you can also purchase a warranty at a reasonable price, so far, Ive had no problems. Its a pretty safe buy from my experience . I got a two year warranty for twenty bucks, and it covers natural wear and tear to dropping it down a flight of stairs. If you got the money, go for it.
