I haven't gone to Japan yet, but I want to go someday. I think that I'd particularly like to do an exchange. Is there anyone in the guild who's done a home stay in Japan?

i have lived in Sendai Japan for about 3 years, but now i am living in England. I would love to go back someday ^.^

I've been twice - once during the summer holidays, and once as a school trip. Both visits were exceedingly fun ^^;

I lived there for about a year and a half total, partly in Tokyo and mostly in Kyoto. I would heartily recommend Kansai to anyone and everyone. heart Tokyo is a ton of fun and there's great shopping, but in Kansai you've got the urban amenities and nightlife of Osaka with all the traditional culture and tourist spots of Kyoto whee
Also, Genis, that's not how you say "Have you been to Japan" sweatdrop The phrase is "Nihon ni itta koto ga arimasu ka?" (日本に行ったことがありますか。)

Hey~ guys ^^
I've also been to Japan some months ago and although i only stayed there for 6 days, I made lots of new friends and everybody was so nice there!
next year I'm going to study japanese and i'd also like to live some years over there, but i know that gaijin have to struggle to earn money in japan.
Did anybody succeed and can tell me how it was? O_o

That is cool! I love Kyoto the bestI've been learning for 2 years or less now, and I think I would be worst than you. My class was about to go this year in december, but only 7 people signed up for it. We need at least 10 to be able to get there. T-T
