Threw some chords together
The combination D-E-F
It's who I am, it's what I do
And I was gonna lay it down for you
Try to focus my attention
But I feel so A-D-D
I need some help, some inspiration
(But it's not coming easily)
Whoah oh!

Trying to find the magic
Trying to write a classic
Don't you know, don't you know, don't you know?
Waste-bin full of paper
Clever rhymes, see you later

These words are my own
From my heart flow
I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you
There's no other way
To better say
I love you, I love you...

Read some Byron, Shelly and Keats
Recited it over a Hip-Hop beat
I'm having trouble saying what I mean
With dead poets and drum machines
I know I had some studio time booked
But I couldn't find a killer hook
Now you've gone & raised the bar right up
Nothing I write is ever good enough

These words are my own
From my heart flow
I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you
There's no other way
To better say
I love you, I love you!

I'm getting off my stage
The curtains pull away
No hyperbole to hide behind
My naked soul exposes
Whoah.. oh.. oh.. oh.. Whoah.. oh..

Trying to find the magic
Trying to write a classic
Waste-bin full of paper
Clever rhymes, see you later

These words are my own
From my heart flow
I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you

That's all I got to say,
Can't think of a better way,
And that's all I've got to say,
I love you, is that okay?

Intro

Love.
Otherwise known as the key to someone's heart, or a weapon in which to crush said heart.
It's also curious, this love. It always seems to find a way to attract to someone of the complete opposite. Like, peanut butter and jelly. They may be the opposite, like with jelly being all, wiggly, and peanut butter thick and creamy. But they sure look good together, and they taste great, their flavours melting into each other.

Sorry for the food anology, but I couldn't think of a better way to say it. Anyways, let me say welcome. For this is the beginning of the many days of possible torture, heartache, and training. Welcome to
Walton's Academy of Music and Other Talents.

Story

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Hello. Welcome, again, to Walton's Academy of Music and Other Talents. You can call it WAMOT, but only outsiders do. Outsiders, as in, the persons our talented students face off against at recitals and competitions. We do have a few sports teams, for those who enjoy that sort of thing, but it's not a big component of what we teach here.

The bigger aspects of the foundation of this institution are music, and other talents that involve the arts. Dancing, Painting, Sculpting, Photography,etc. are also found here. Our facilities are 5 star, leaving inhabitants not wanting to leave themselves.

Everyone attending the school must stay on campus, except for those special days when competitions, recitals, or even field trips come up. We do not let our students live anywhere except in our dormitories, but they have access to internet and phone services to contact family and friends. We do not like to distract their attention away from their progress in work, so only a few computers are availible for those who don't aquire a laptop in time for acceptance to our institution. The laptops availible do not allow game sites, or anything except email services. This is all, and they do not have messenger or an instant messenging programs.

We only ask a few things of you, parents, to provide a few items. Of course, the fee to join, which is a bundle of money in it's own league, somewhere I do believe of 50 thousand a year. Our institution does not have anything from clothes to toiletries, besides soap and toilet paper. So, if yuo may provide anything like that, it would be greatly appreciated.

If you are worried about your child's safety, please do not worry. We have very tall concrete walls around the school, with mechanical opened iron gates, which always have a few guards around. Nothing, I assure you, gets in or out of the school without permission. As for inside the school, if anything were to happen, we have an on site medical clinic, with top-notch surgeons and docters if it comes beyond our nurses power. We do not think anything too serious will happen, but it has happened before.

Please, read through our acceptance package attached with this letter, and make sure to watch the DVD included. It shows a complete virtual tour of our grounds, as well as the faciluties and classrooms. There is at least 3 classrooms full of usefull resources to inhance your child's ability to learn, so we hope you send your child. If they are worried about bringing their instruments, or dance shoes or items of importance to their talents, tell them not to worry. We have such things here, ready for use if needed.

The area of the school is larger then any other place on earth, with luxious fields on either side. We have a beautiful garden on site, which you'll see in the DVD inclosed.

The payment you sent it covers food, dorming fees, and all the needs of a growing young adult. Please, trust me when I say, you could not pick a better institution for your child then here at Walton's Academy of Music and Other Talents. Most great, talented people that a very famous and wealthy today came here, so do not waste this chance now you have been accepted.

We hope to see you soon. Sincerly,

Stephen Andrew Walton

Profile Layout

There are a few tricks to mastering profile making. For example:

01. When entering the image url, make sure the BBCODE format "[img ] [/img ] isn't around it. The url shuld usually start with "http:// "
02. All Of the profile should be written in first person. I'm sure you should know what that is, but here's an example. "I grew up in South Carolina.." It should not be "Emily grew up in South Carolina..."
03. Spell out numbers. Unless it's a really long number like 99,999,999,999, or something.
04. Always make sure you know what the title of the personal message is, and make sure to follow any other steps the owner has left you.

This is what your profile should look like:

Dormitories

The girls will sleep in on wing of the school, while the boys are in the other. There will be no dorm switches, unless it poses hardship for everyone. There is one person per dorm. The dorms written down now are the ones availible. More will be opened if there are more people accepted to the school.

Some Say I'm;;
Sweet as candy. Mostly I'm a 'good girl', but I can be a bit mean sometimes. I'm really friendly and I make friends easily, although I'm a bit scared to approach a group of people in a new environment. I love playing music, and I love to read.

You Could Say I've Had A Good Life;;
I was born to a single mother. Strange to have a rich single mother, but I had one. My great-grandmother was rich, and came from an old English family. My great-grandfather was rich as well, and they were arranged to be married. So my whole family was rich... except for my mother. She was disowned when I was born, but I was welcome into the family. My mom died when I was young, so I grew up with my aunt and cousins. They were a really nice family, but I was out of place because I looked like my father... I don't look like anyone else in my family. At first the neighbors thought that my aunt had an affair and that was where I came from. Actually, they still think that. No one seems to think that I might be my mother's child. No one's thought to explain it to them. I'm fine with it though, although I'm still out of place. So they sent me here.

A little shy, I`m well-mannered and polite. I`ve dealt with things from recitals, to playing for the Queen once. I know how to behave, and I play by the rules. I`m also curious about everything, and I`m always up for making new friends.

You Could Say I've Had A Good Life;;
A child genious, I could finish the rubix cube at the age of 2. I had an interesting intellgence when it came to music, and was able to play mostly every song imaginable on the piano at the age of 7. At holiday parties or family gatherings, I was on stage, singing and playing my heart out. My parents worked me hard, mostly because my father owns Walton`s Academy of Music and other Talents. My life has been perfect, you know? Full of recitals and being spoilt, and what not. The only thing is, my parents were scared I would turn into one of those regular children if I went to public school, so I was always homeschooled. I didn`t think much of it at the time, but now I see all the people coming in, I just want to go out and have some fun. But at least I have my voice and piano, right?

I Have A Knack For;;
I have a knack for singing extremely well, and I also play the piano.

Some Say I'm;;
Usually the enigma that wonders through the halls, barely a word said of social conversation unless I know you well enough. I guess I'm just nervous around people, unless it's a performance or something with an instrument. I want to change that though; one of the main reasons my mom wants me to go is to get used to people more than I do in home schooling. She says it‘ll make me a lot happier, and she promises that. She worries that I don‘t get out enough, and although I can‘t go to many places at this school, I‘d make some friends, which she says will make the difference of a lifetime.

You Could Say I've Had A Good Life;;
In a family of four, I apparently turned out to be the child prodigy of some sort when it came to music. My mother says I was born with the music in my fingers, and that it flows throughout the body until it reaches the soul. She is a music teacher, so she would know that of course.

Am I rich? A question I get a lot, since people see me live in this three-story house with the giant patio and backyard. People usually seemed surprised; guess I don’t give off the “super-snob” vibe my brother and father do. My father is the one who brings more of the cash home, being a surgeon and all. But he never looks like he’s having any fun (how fun could cutting open bodies and fixing people under dangerous stress be, anyways?!), which is why I don’t care how broke I get, I wanna be a musician even if it leads to my death! He says my mom is more open hearted and fun-loving, which was one of the things that brought him to her.

They’re both super supportive, my parents. They could tell right away that I was going “to be something wonderful“, as Aunt Maria put it a night long ago; I started playing the piano at age 3 and can now begin to recite a Mozart song faster than you can remember what 12x12 is. I also play the violin, but my mother believes my true nature is in more of both piano, and singing. I learned the most about singing by practicing singing simple parts in piano pieces; it was just a way to help me learn a song, but it did much more.

Now, since this isn‘t a perfect world and something bad has to come out of it, there is one thing I do regret about it all: my older brother, only having an interest in football and not a lot of musical talent, actually went somewhat ignored once I hit maybe 4 years old or so. Now that he pretty much hates my guts for stealing the spotlight, I never had a chance to get to know him or get to be friendly siblings with him. Ya know, share school problems, hang out, actually get to know each other like most siblings.

So, I‘m now heading to this prestigious school. While I‘ll miss this place (as well as some freedom), I was pretty much home schooled, so I have not a lot of experience with other people. Besides, this horrible smell of smoke, or something awful smelling, keeps coming out of my brother‘s room, and it‘s making me sick to the stomach and I wanna puke, my room being right across the hall. I asked dad about it, guessing that maybe it was a “guy“ thing I knew nothing about? He looked really mad for a moment, staring off into angry space with his coffee held in his hand in midair, then said he‘d talk to my brother once they got back from dropping me off. That, and I could use the 2nd floor guest room til the smell leaves for awhile. Hope he‘s ok…

Funny, charismatic, wild, uncontrolable. I like to get my own way.

You Could Say I've Had A Good Life;;
I was born To Robert and Janine Tomko-Gilespie. My parents were on the tail end of the hippie movement when they had me. I was raised in a very liberal and open-minded household. I attended many 'alternative', and 'experimental' schools during my early schooling, but at last, my parents decided to homeschool me. I have two younger siblings. Way younger.

Nicole is four and a half, and Peter is only two. You could say I was shocked about this. Ever since Nikky was born, my parents have done a complete 180. Now they worry about strollers and carseats and daycare, as well as which private school Nicole will go to when she starts kindergarten next year. The house has changed too. Instead of the bright, sunny, colorful walk-up we had in Chinatown, they moved us to a conservative townhouse in Queens. I elected two years ago to use the college fund my mother's father had given to me, to attend Walton's Academy, in hopes I might get a dancing scolarship to Juliard.

You could say I'm uptight, but then you'd be describing my mother. You see, I've always been the most laid-back in the family, letting things slide easily. I don't believe in all that karma crap either, so don't waste your time. Though, when it comes to my preformance, I'm serious aboout it as much as my sister.

You Could Say I've Had A Good Life;;
Pretty much like Star's. Minus the child genious, and add the fact that I was completely ignored. My parents saw that I could never play the piano, or sing, so I basically busied myself in my room. I used fingerpaints until I was old enough to start canvas art. I tried to show my parents what i can do with photography and painting, but they're too focused on Star's future. The only reason I'm here at the school is because my dad let me. He just told me not to distract any of the students. Yeahh, right.

Okay! Let's get this party started! Everyone should start out coming to the school, and getting to their dorms. The only reason my characters start out here is because they are Walton's themselves.

A familiar little blonde was walking the way down to the music room, stopping abruptly to admire a painting on the wall. Her father had just set it up, for it was a collage of all the events of last years class. Star gazed up at it, looking at the pictures taken of herself there. She looked so delicate, so fragile. So unaware of how much talent she was capable of. Star looked down and shook her head, walking a bit more until she reached the music room. The other students would be showing up soon, so she wished to get at least one practice before being thrown off completely. Star stood up by the music stand at the front of the class, before placing some of her music she had brought with her, onto the stand. The words and notes were scrawled down, since it was one of her own compostitions. Star took a breath, and started to slowly begin.

Josh shook his head as he couldn't figure out what was wrong with the painting. He was painting his amazing sister, Star, onto his canvas, but something about the image lacked. It had her blonde waves, and perfect piercing eyes, but there was something missing. He had yet to figure it out, and turned to take it and scrap it. Unless it was what he saw in his vision, Josh always started over. It was an unnecessary habit of his; one he could not break. Josh ran a hand through his hair, careful to look before if any paint had stained him, and began again with the rough outline of the figure, using soft, swift movements. It was not long before he had the basic outline, and he just needed to add detail and colour.

Kimberly sighed heavily as she trudged towards the large building, trying to keep her brownish-red hair from falling in her face. She had a backpack on her back (the color a deep red), one hand on the handle that pulled the large black rolling suitcase along. The bump ba-bump bump ba-bump sound filled her ears as the sound of a metronome would, and it seemed to stick in her head far too easily. Her other hand contained a box of stuff for her dorm; mainly stuff to decorate it or something. Her parents had wanted to help her carry her stuff up, but her father seemed to be brooding about something as he sat staring at the wheel for a moment before saying goodbye, and her mother was instead helping her. Her mother was humming the sound the suitcase made, as she held a leash in which Cupcake was walking along. The small fuzzy white poodle seemed to be enjoying the walk, but stayed quiet as she explored the new territory.

“Mom, why is dad so upset?” Kiki asked suddenly; she could trust Mom like her best friend, so she usually ended up asking the woman most of her questions.
“Ah, don’t worry about your worrywart of a father; he’s just busy with work. Plus, he‘s gonna miss you while you‘re gone, so it‘s probably just that he‘s sad about. Men are like that; never ask for directions, and never are honest with their feelings.” The mother answered, her short blond hair blowing in the wind slightly. Kiki got the hair color from her dad.
The girl laughed slightly. “Maybe……but it wasn’t until I mentioned the smell from Mark’s room; is something wrong?” she stopped as they got to the front steps, and turned to her. Something was clearly wrong, she could tell by her mom’s avoidance of this, but she had to know.

The mother looked at her daughter’s determination and smiled; stubborn, just like her father. “Look, don’t worry about it. How about we find out what’s up for SURE first, then I either call you, or I’ll brave the internet and make a AIM chat room set for just the two of us? Oh wait, this place doesn’t allow that. Well, I’ll think of something! That way we can stay in touch, since you’re father’s gonna be up late nights when he gets on his shift.

Now, stop worrying about Mark. This, right now, is about you; you’re starting your first day in the real world. Now, advice. Hmm………….I’ve got it set now.

1. Stay out of trouble; getting in a fight or sneaking off campus without permission is the quickest way of getting kicked out or in deep trouble.
2. Be courteous to the teachers; some are complete jerks, but at least try before giving them a negative response. I’m not asking you to bear with every living soul. Just ignore the ones you don’t like, and form good relations with others.
3. Work hard; this place isn’t expensive for nothing! They’ll probably work you guys to death, but don’t keep your nose in studies too long, or you’ll end up all cranky. So make sure to balance both work time, and time for yourself.
And last; try to make some friends! You’re too nervous; even now you’re all stiff as a board! Loosen up!” her mother smiled, patting the girl’s head fondly. “But be careful on who you befriend; not everyone is as nice as they seem. You’ll know after a bit their true nature, though, so just be yourself and you’ll find your true friends in no time! Got it all?”

Kiki nodded, and thus they said goodbye, and now minutes later Kiki was going up the steps of the dorms section of the place, room key in hand. It was hard carrying all this stuff plus a dog! She was thankful when she reached the almighty door, the numbers 501 in gold plates on the door. She sat her stuff down and turned the key; holding it all much longer would have caused it to spill as well as kill her arms and back. It turned, and she opened the door.

She had a look of awe as she wondered into the room and threw her stuff on the floor temporarily, closing the door after Cupcake came in. It was a very nice room; The bed was rather large, perfect for sleeping or studying. There was a table and other furniture, all high quality and expensive, big surprise there (not). There was a good-sized bathroom, and other features she had yet to explore. Well, she would as soon as she unpacked.

“Let’s see; better start unpacking first, eh?” she asked her dog, before going to the large window and opening the curtains, letting the cloudy day show into the room before she began to unpack and organize the place, beginning the proccess of making the room her own. She began to sing to herself as she did, not yet having her Ipod to listen to, for it was still packed somewhere in the luggage.

"Goodbye sweetie!" Her aunt kissed Delilah's cheek. Translation: Good riddance.
"See you at Christmas!" Her cousin smiled. Translation: Don't come for Thanksgiving.
"If you need anything, call home." Her uncle said to her. Translation: Don't need anything, or forget our number.
The family got in the car.
"I'll miss you!" Her baby cousin yelled as they pulled away. Translation: I'll miss you!
That kid was the only honest person in the car.
Delilah turned back to the school. Everything was sorted out, all she had to do was unpack... after she got to the dorm.
She began to tread the paths of the school, hanging her head. Gee, how worse could it get?
At least she'd be away from people who thought she was a b*****d child. Not that being an orphan was much better. She looked at the walls. Damn, what was with these people?
They wanted to keep people in. Geez, from the moment she read that letter she didn't want to come. She felt caged here.
They didn't even allow cats... They also probably served ham.
She was going to hate it here. She knew it.

"Oh, Remy! Why do you have to go here? There are plaenty of dance academies in the city." This shrill voice belonged to a plump, but not obese, blonde woman, who sported a fashionable, cream-colored blouse, and black slacks with shiny pumps. She bore little resemblance to the mother R.J. remembered, the one who was thin and wore tie-dyed t-shirts and jeans she'd embroidered herself with her berkenstocks.

"Mom, please, call me R.J." This voice came from a tall, sullen boy in the seat behind his father. In his lap was a medium sized glass aquarium where slumbered a turtle. "And, don't be so loud, you'll wake Scooter. I tell you every year at least twice. Walton's is the best performing and visual arts school in the country. I do well here, and Juliard will be knocking down my door."

"Oh, sorry R.J. I wouldn't want to wake Scooter. Then Juliard might not want you."

"I'm gonna miss you too, Mom." He was sincere. He would miss his family, but, he thought, not that much.

The tacky, mint green minivan pulled up. R.J. got out, wishing his parents still had their old car. Seriously, this thing simply screamed, 'WE HAVE BABIES!' It was disgusting. He began his unloading his few boxes. Two for dorm stuff, one for dance stuff, A rolling suitcase of clothes, a backpack for his school stuff, and his laptop bag. All the while, Scooter slept comfortably on the seat. The turtle was starting to get old, all he did was sleep anymore.

Time for the goodbyes. He did Peter first, cause he was easiest. "Bye, little man. You're in charge of the mutt while I'm gone. Make sure she's fed." Peter stared at R.J. and sucked his thumb. Right. Anyway, on to Nikky. "Bye Nikky, I'll see ya at Christmas, kay?"

"Bye, R.J. Didja know I can spell your name? It's easy, just two letters. I'll write you a letter...well, I'll write part of it. Mommy's gonna have to help."

"I'll be waiting for it, Nicole Marie." At the mention of her full name, Nikky stopped talking as though she were in trouble. That was something new he found out this summer. Hopefully, Pete would be talking by the time he came home this Christmas. Finally, he had to say goodbye to his mom.

"I'll be back for Christmas. It won't be that long." He arms encased him before he could finish.

"I know, I know. It's not cool to get hugged by your mom, but I love you kiddo."

"It's R.J., Mom, and I love you too."

~~~~~~~~~
Some minutes later, R.J. and his dad finished hauling R.J.'s belongings to his dorm. "See you later, son"
"Bye, Dad. Make sure my dog gets walked."
"I will. Oh, and, son?"
"Yeah, Dad?"
"Nothing. Work hard."
"I will."
~~~~~~~~~

It was going to take a while to get his room the way he liked it. R.J. opened a box, and got to work.

Delilah was bored. She didn't even bother to unpack. Unpacking was worse than staring at the ceiling. Why couldn't she have a roommate? Roommates were cool. Not that she's ever had one, but they sounded cool.
She rolled over, and screamed into her pillow. She was BORED! She didn't even have any books with her! She rolled off the bed, hitting the floor. Pain wasn't boring, except the dull pain at the back of her head. She banged her head against the floor again. If anyone walked in she'd look insane to them.
Loony bins were more exciting than this. When did classes start?
She tried to cure her boredom.
"Where can a sick man go?
When he can't choke down his medicine
The old doc knows
A specialist came to town but he stays at home
Sayin' 'No one knows so I don't, honey, when in Rome.'
"
Delilah smiled, this wasn't boring. She continued to sing, louder this time, and closed her eyes. She sat up and began to sway as she sang.

Kiki continued to sing to herself as she unpacked; she had now gotten more into it and began to dance slightly (but probably badly, since she didn't really know alot about dancing), putting stuff away and hanging up posters to a rhythm of the beat. It was quite fun, and Cupcake ran about as if trying to join the girl.

Suddenly as she reached a pause before a big finale-like line, she could hear the murmur of........singing from a far distance. Well, looks like more people were showing up. Out of sudden curiousity, she went by the door and opened it a crack; mabye she could figure out which room. She listened, but could not tell, for the halls echoed and it could come from anywhere. She sighed; she didn't wanna go out and face people just yet, and she closed the door again, returning to her song and starting another as she continued about in her unpacking..........fun. Wow, never thought the two could be put in the same sentece without the word "not". Now some music posters hung about one or two of hte walls, her small collection of bunny figurines and other random trinkets were mainly unpacked, and she continued now with the clothes.

Star had stopped signing now. Of course. "Josh." She said, smiling a bit as she grabbed her music sheets.

Josh revealed himself, with a cam corder in hand. "Work it Star." He said, smiling himself.

Star struck a pose, then let her smile fall. "Has anyone else showed up yet?"

"Yeahh. 2 girls, both singers, and a guy."

"Hmm. I think we should go great them." Star pointed out.

"Fine.." Josh said, closing te cam corder and following Star out the door.

Ah, there. R.J. steped back to admire his room. It had taken a little over an hour, but that was no problem. His radio had been playing music the whole time, and R.J. had even practiced a few steps in between hanging posters and unpacking boxes. He waved to Scooter, who was in his aquarium on to of the dresser. "Okay, Scooter. I'm going to practice for real now. Don't let in any strangers while I'm gone," he joked. He changed into his practice clothes and fed Scooter.

While doing so, he took a quick look around the room. It was perfect, and that was starting to bug him. He messed up the covers on the bed, and flung his dirty t-shirt across the back of the desk chair. Okay, now he could leave. He started for the dance studio.
