Tea shop :: Ofuda :: Since the new village tea shop has just opened, it seems to be pretty busy! The owner has asked me to have one ofuda owner help them out! But you wonder, what does this have to do with the ofuda's?! Well maybe people would be more interested in visiting Elsas. Maybe more ofudas will be given out. :: Ogre and Baku :: Active

Since the new shop had opened, Masa had made it a point to come and spend time within it's lovely atmosphere. He sat curled in one of the corners, sipping jasmine scented tea and reading through a couple of the older books he'd found in one of the merchant shops. They seemed to have very old writing and images drawn in them, and he was curious to see what they might hold within thier pages. Old things fascinated him to no end. Maybe he'd learn something he could write Renu about.

"Oh, hello. Are you the one that is going to help with the opening of the shop? You look pretty young to be doing something like this.." said a Man as he fixed his tie.

"Uhm, yes." Masato quickly closed the books and stood, tucking them away within his robe. "... something like what?" Masa tilted his head. The man made it sound like helping with the tea shop was for old people?

"Well, right now we need help setting up the furniture and the supplies." He pointed to the counter that seemed to fall apart any minute "Can you help fix that? I have to go welcome the people at the door."
The man then walked to the store front and greeted the new-comers to the village of Elsas.

Masa nodded, bowing a few times before the man dissapeared out to greet customers. He turned to take a better look at the counter, noticing how... uh, rickety it was.
".. THAT is the counter?" Shaking his head, he walked over while rolling his sleeves up. "I wonder if they have tools...." He began by removing all the things on the counter, then cleaned up around it. It looked like a few pieces of the counters foundation was eaten away by something or just gotten to old it had fallen apart. He sat infront of it, indian style with a pen in his mouth and a piece of paper on his leg. "Well... we'll need wood, and some nails..." He scribbled these things down, writing otu a list of repair things he'd need to find around the tea house or otherwise. So far, he'd managed to rig it so it was solid enough to NOT fall one someone.. but not strong enough to hold anyone weight past a child if they tried to sit on it or lean for that matter. The supplies were waiting neatly on the back table.
Masa stood to his feet, slipping up front to find the manager man who'd spoken to him before.

The owner turned around to see the man, Masa, coming towards him. He took the paper out of Masa's hands and read it. "Hmmm. I think I can get these supplies....Be right back." said the man as he walked out of town to get the supplies
1 Hour Later. . .
"Phew...Here they are!" he handed the supplies to Masa so he could continue.

Masa snapped to attention, darting over to take the supplies. "Thank you sir." He then dissapeared into the back, setting out the wood, nails, and hammer to begin rebuilding the counter foundation. It took him a little over an hour to finish, before he stood and nodded to himself. Masato pressed down onto the counter cautiously, seeing that it held his weight and didn't make any curious sounds.
"Ah, much better." He quickly tucked all the building supplies back in thier containers and set the spare peices of wood and nails aside. He'd ask the manager later where he could store them. For now, he worked on putting all the tea shop supplies away in thier places. Once he was finished, he cleaned the back area again, til it was spotless.
o_@ Working at a tea shop was hard work.
Masato set his cleaning rag aside, walking out to find the owner again. "...sir?"

(sorry to delete the posts....they really didn't make any sense...)
"Oh! Yes? Are you finished?" said the man as he walked into the shop and looked around. "Wow! It's great! Thank you! We're almost ready for the grand opening!"

Masa nodded, pleased with the end results of the clean up job.
"Is there anything else I can do to help prepare for the opening, sir?"
