Pops in un-announced.
Well, that was rude of me, Gomen. Would either of you two luffely ladies be interested in teaching yours truly some more proper Japanese as he is less than knowledgeable on anything of the sort. ^^ (Douzo?)
I understand, which I think is Genki Desu... if I recall correctly. (Which I probably do not.)

ACTUALLY, i don't know that much either lol. Heres the thing though, i've learned it's better to just dive in rather than learn translations. MANY things in japanese are HIGHLY situational and contextual.
Ex. Onegaishimasu and Kudasai. They are for the most part interchangable but is asking for a service (waiter bring me a water please) u would use Onegaishimasu (onegai is non formal), whie asking for actions (driver, take me to the airport please) would be a kudasai scenario.
Daijoubu is bot ha ? and an answer. Daijoubu? = Are you ok? while Daijoubu... = I'm ok...
Hajimemashite = Pleased to meet you
Arigatou (Gozaimasu) = Thank you (gozaimasu makes it formal) Douitashimashite = Your welcome
Ohayou (gozaimasu) = Good morning Konichiwa = good afternoon Konbanwa = Good evening Oyasuminasai = good night (going to bed)
Oishi = delicious
Theres many other contexts. I call Silvertonguue Siveru (japanese romanji spelling) onee sama (older sister). BEST thing we can really do is just translate as we go lol. A really good site to check out would be japanese.about.com (or is it about.japanese.com?)
*ahem* OISHI tempura to onigiri! Sivaru onee sama daisuki! ^.^
