I dunno if this should be in the FFX forum but since it's not really game-related... neutral I always wondered if his name is like Ty-duss or Tee-duss or what? They never say his name in the game so I don't have a clue sweatdrop
I do know this:
Yuna: OK, Let's see what you can do.
Tidus: ...HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA HA HA HA!
Yuna: HA! HA! HA! HA! HA !!!

Are you sure they don't say it in the game? I thought they did..... hmmm... *debates whether or not he should play the game again to find out*..... nah screw that I hated that one...

I'm 70% sure that they confirm it officially to be "Ty-dus", because Yuna is supposed to be related to the Moon and Tidus = Tide, which everyone knows is affected by the Moon.
I'd stuggest looking it up though, as I might be wrong.

Cool i didn't knew that about the moon and the tide i was sure they might be related but i didn't thought it was for real. Maybe a coincidence

Well, I always pronounced it Ty-dus, but when you play kingdom hearts, they call him Tee-dus. So I suppose Tee-dus would be the accurate way to say it. (Also, they don't say his name in the game ever because he's the only character you can name.)

(Also, they don't say his name in the game ever because he's the only character you can name.) Yup, that's just about right on every count. I always say Ty-dus too, though. Tee-dus just sounds funny. His name, though, is actually based on some word that means sun, but I can't remember what language it's supposed to be in, let alone know how you'd pronounce it in that language. ...Aw, poor Auron. ^^

I always call him Tide-us, but in KH they call him Tea-dus (like, never. I will never, ever, ever call him that).
They never do say his name in the game, because the idea is you can name him after who ever you want.

I say it Tee-dus because thats how it was pronounced in KH. But correct grammar says its Ty-dus.
another wierd thing about Tidus is that cutscene-to-cutscene sometimes his voice doesn't match...yeah i pay attention to those kinds of things...

Anyway, I always thought it was Ty-duss...they don't say it ingame because the name is customizable. However, in Kingdom Hearts, at the beginning, Wakka pronounces it Tee-dus

Ehh...grammar doesn't apply in names. But yeah, Wakka says something like "Me and Tee-dus are going to explore the secret place at the base of that tree today..." Oh well. XD
