((TOTAL TITLE FAILAGE. x.x))  Endless padded up the path to the HQ building aimlessly in one of those states where you're not really thinking but not really paying attention either. The early spring growth that might normally have caught the artisticly inclined kitsu's eyes just passed in a blur. For the moment he didn't even realize where he was headed, he'd just needed to get out for a while.
He'd been feeling sorry for himself because of what happened with Lily and Edward for far too long, and after giving himself a mental kick in the rear the familiar walls of the Place had suddenly become stifling. So out he'd gone, nevermind where.
He did finally pause when the HQ came into view, blinking in mild astonishment. Well... he hadn't really had anywhere in mind, had he? And this was as good a place as any.

Valencia was loitering about on the front steps of the HQ, enjoying the bit of sunshine that had decided to peek out from behind the fading rain clouds. It was still a bit moist outside but right now the female couldn't care less. Yawning hugely, she tossed her head and dug forepaws into the lose earth off the side of the main pathway into the building in the hopes of something interesting popping up.
It had been ages since she last had any amount of entertainment... or companionship. She'd heard her brother had found a mate and now had children but if pressed about her knowledge of them, she'd come up empty handed. With a sigh, the red-eyed kitsu glanced up at the sky once more.
"Gotta be something happening... maybe I'll go for a jog." Running always cleared her head, it seemed to empty her body and mind for a clarity she couldn't find elsewhere. It was a settling feeling, that sensation of motion and freedom. With a soft smile, she rose and shook her fur having decided a jog sounded good.

As Endless approached the door to HQ it was hard for him to miss Valencia. She looked familiar somehow, though at the moment he couldn't place it. He was sure he'd remember sooner or later. At the moment it wasn't really an important thing to him.
He didn't really know what to say, but he felt like trying to be sociable; cooped up for too long in the same place with the same people. He needed a change in conversation as much as a change in scenery. Unfortunately he wasn't very good at starting conversations... but why not try a classic?
"Nice day, isn't it?" He turned to peer at the sky and sniffed at the dampness in the air. "Though maybe a little wet."

Valencia paused, tails flicking and ears swivelling to focus on the newcomer. ...Newcomer? She blinked and offered a smile, "Good enough!" She laughed softly and bowed into a canine stretch, "But it smells wonderful and crisp, doesn't it? ...Or don't you like the rain?" She tilted her head to the side and peered at him for a moment, before flicking an ear, "What do you want?"

Endless gave her an almost grin. "I like rain. Maybe not necessarily being soaked in it, but I like rain. I think I've just been inside too long, getting wet seems strange right now."
He really did grin a bit at her frank question. Well, it deserved a frank answer, right? "To get outside. And talk to someone I haven't been staring at all winter. Cabin fever, I guess." A lifelong habit of roaming around wasn't broken that easily, after all.

Well this was interesting. Flexing paws as she stood upright again, Valencia nodded, "You've been with others... in a cabin?" She had yet to come across such a thing, having spent much of her time in and around the HQ during periods of heavy snow fall.
"What's your name?" She asked suddenly, brazenly walking up to stand right before the other, "I'm Valencia."

Endless tilted his head. "Well... I think it's just one of those all-purpose terms for when you've been cooped up for a while and you feel like you need to get out." He wasn't really sure if the place counted as a "cabin" or not. He supposed it might, it was just rather large when compared to what he usually though of as a cabin.
Endless couldn't help noticing that Valencia's eyes were a rather brilliant red after she got closer. He didn't see eyes that vibrant a shade of red very frequently. He was somewhat suprised by her confidence... though he probably shouldn't have been. He'd been confident, once upon a time. Of course it was a different sort of confidence, he was fairly sure, because he'd been alone then and hadn't really had any intention of altering that fact. His ability to speak with people when he needed something or owed a favor apparently hadn't amounted to much when it came to trying to be personable.
"Endless. Pleased to meet you, Valencia." The name rang a bell somewhere in his mind too, which made the familiarity he couldn't quite put a paw on all the stronger. Normally he had an impeccable memory for faces. It wasn't really enough to cause him irritation but it did seem sort of... odd.
