I don't know an awful lot about them, but my grandmother does. I could pass on some questions if you would like, what do you want to know?

Awesome, I'm guessing she plays or used to?

Well I've been looking into getting one, been browsing the internet (mostly ebay). I've found a couple that appear to be good deals but I've been thinking I should go to the accordion dealer who lives in a little town an hour away from me and purchase one from him rather than from someone over the internet, therefore I'd be able to inspect it myself and make sure everything is in working order. I know I probably want wet toned, and I don't think I'll be able to know if I'm buying wet or dry from ebay because they never mention it, and if there is a way to tell from the brand name then I don't know.

I know the smart choice is to go to the dealer, but I'm afraid I'd be letting great deals slip through my fingers if i don't pick one of these on ebay (found a couple under 100 bucks in great condition which is awesome)

I just don't know if the amount of bass keys really matters since I'm a beginner. The full amount is 120, but would 80 bass be just fine?

She used to play a lot more then she does now, but i have heard her play pretty recently.
I'll pass on the questions and hopefully get a helpful reply within a few days 3nodding

I reckon if they're under 100 bucks you could probably afford to buy a couple and experiment, see what you like before you buy a good one

ok so i got one on ebay for 20 dollars lol
its beautiful
but turns out its not a women's like i thought it was....
its sooo heavy i can hardly play it properly

and some of the reeds dont work on the piano side... either that or they are so light that you cant hear them over the bass notes!
all bass notes sound great though and the bellows dont seem to have any leaks so i guess i have that going for me

i might end up selling this because it is sooo darn heavy sad
