I honestly did not know my sister was capable of doing this....and I don't mean to undermine her in anyway, but I am just amazed. sweatdrop She and her friend went around researching anti-forums and well, see for yourself. I'm sure you got it because my sister told me that she sent it to both Cloti and Cleris fans.

The majority have said that they are anti-cloti because they don't like how Tifa looks or because they just like Aeris more then Tifa. I had also asked around on different websites about why they like their couple. Most of the cloti fans say that their couple is more reasonable and they provide proof about how Cloti is cannon. The Majority of the Cleris fans I've surveyed said they like the couple because they think cloud is obsessed with saving Aeris or they just hate Tifa.
I'm getting the impression that there are less rabbid cloti fans then rabbid cleris fans and the Cloti fans are much more mature.
What do you have to say to this? (this is just a survey so you don't have to participate in it)
What do you think of the results?

Honestly, I am quite surprised. sweatdrop I believed that there were around an equal amount of rabid Cleris and Cloti fans. And I'm inclined to believe the statistics, haha. Maybe I'm a bit biased because Kurai is my sister, but she and her friend did find "9 anti-cloti forums."

Hmm, I'm not entirely inclined to believe that, because I know for a fact that anti-Cleris forums exist. Techincally, StrifeHeart would count as one, without a doubt. Also, for me at least, this doesn't seem quite complete.
What actually might have been more accurate would be to take a number of known Cloti and Cleris fans (fifty fans for each side, at least), and ask them why they like their pairing, and why the do not like the other. It would not be accurate to imply that anti-Cloti folks are pro-Cleris, because there are people who support neither pairing, and hate all the characters involved.
Some forums like the anti-Cleris ones might be a bit harder to find depending on the keywords your sister used in her search (assuming she had googled them instead of searching them out from various other sources).
That's not to say that what she has gathered has no use or little to say about the fandom, but it doesn't necessarily show the whole picture, either. Before I started getting into Cloti and Cleris, I actually supported NEITHER, because I didn't like Cloud. sweatdrop
Oh! And if she conducted a survey, she probably shouldn't hand-pick the people she'd want to survey. It might be better if it were random, so as to show both sides that there was no bias present in choosing the guinea pigs subjects for the survey.
Or maybe I'm just being weird again. xd Good job, though, because this is a good start at compiling opinions.

Yes, I would agree that Strifeheart is one huge one. sweatdrop I do agree that this survey could use some work too, the research is very general, yet like you, I think it's a very good start. biggrin
What's funny...is that my sister never told me that she was doing research.....and she started a couple of months ago too. sweatdrop Makes me wonder what she does with her time.....*shifty eyes*

It's very curious, isn't it? xd I wonder about my sisters sometime, but when I really think about it, I'd rather not know.
Hmm, if she's in the Cleris guild, she could possibly ask the captain if it'd be okay to conduct such a survey, and collect names of active members, randomly picking which ones to survey and whatnot. It'd be very enlightening for both sides. That, or a neutral party could conduct it, to eliminate any suspicions of bias. So long as it's done correctly, though, there shouldn't be any bias whatsoever. razz

Hello, yes i do believe that there are some anti-cleris forums, but my friend (she was a big help in the research) was only looking at the one that seriously offended the different couples. So it's sorta like for every 9 anti-cloti forum there is at least 1 anti-cleris forum. Also, almost all the ppl I surveyed were randomly browsed final fantasy fans(i didn't hand-pick ppl cuz i knew that the results would be false). I got 20 ppl from each sides and surveyed them. What's strange is that the cleris fans were condemning me for no reason and i didn't even know them. sweatdrop All i did was ask questions. stare Anyways, the sites my friend found weren't googled, she had asked around to find good anti forums and tried every way to find forums(she was even doing this at school! xd we obviously got caught). Well, that's all

I've posted a few examples in that other thread. >_>; It's really sad how immature some people will be when it comes to the LTD. rofl Including StrifeHeart. Aw man.....that stuff is too depressing to even look.....of course, all of the reasons are just ridiculous. The geocities antitifa one at least gave reasonable reasons to hate Tifa, but, hahaha, too few to really justify hating her. xd And I agree with Lunar! Anti-Aeris=Anti-Tifa Anti-Cleris Statistics from Kurai back that up as well. That also reminds me of one essay.....that younger people tend to like Cleris more so that might also be why there's so many brats in the whole Anti-Cloti. Now that I think about it.....most of us here are old right? sweatdrop Me and Lunar are currently 17....and Pink is like, what....15? And the AG97 brats are around her age too right?
