Lyrus was starting to miss having privacy. It wasn't that he particularly minded Delia staying with him. Sure, he had been tossed out before Banda had adopted her (and had a nagging feeling that she was something of a replacement), but she brought news of him, and that was nice. She's wasn't particularly a nuisance. She didn't cause trouble, she didn't disrupt his everyday life much--though he did feel a bit awkward bringing anyone home from the club, but had that slowed down recently of late anyway.

He wasn't entirely sure why she bothered him, when it came down to it. She was helpful around the house, picking up groceries and even cooking dinner most nights. She was clean, and mostly neat--though she seemed to realize how picky he was about his apartment being in order and made an effort not to muss it so as to stay in his good graces. She wasn't loud, she was nice enough company. She had even volunteered to keep an eye on the register downstairs so he could organize the pawn shop a bit further.

The lamb Sin frowned, glancing out of the corner of his eye down the couch at the skullmonkey girl curled up around a bowl of popcorn, her eyes fixed on the horror movie on the screen. She was just unsettling. She was...what Banda had tried to make him, before he had been pulled away. She wasn't Banda, she was Lyrus without the childhood anger issues.

Maybe that was it.

A startlingly cheerful rap on Lyrus' door broke the quiet, and within moments it'd been unlocked and a tall, blonde teenager strolled into the place, a knapsack in one hand and a bouquet of flowers in the other. Yes, she had a key.

At least she was here to put her old friend, Lyrus, in a good mood. Jan didn't even notice Delia at first, shutting the door with a foot, and walking to the kitchen. She replaced last week's flowers with the new ones, adding fresh water, then opened her knapsack.

Out came freshly grown vegetables and fruits, as well as a new record. "Lyrus," her throaty voice was warm and low as she carried the record over to the livingroom area. "I foun' this min' condish copy o' Marvin Gaye 'n..." She slowed slightly, seeing Delia curled up, a smile fading slightly, but still charming, still in place. "... Though' you'd like et." Who the hell was that? She didn't seem Lyrus' type. And those that were didn't generally hang around after sex.

The rap on the door attracted the attention of both couch-sitters, though neither made a move to stand. The click of the lock turning meant that it was Jan to Lyrus, and the click of the lock meant that it was someone Lyrus knew to Delia. Why abandon the safety of the couch when there was a horror movie on and something might grab their ankles from under the couch if they stood? Better to just have Jan let herself in and protect them. Yes.

Lyrus lifted an arm in a wave of greeting, regardless, as Jan moved inside and into the kitchen. He wasn't sure if she'd caught it or not, but that wasn't terribly important. Her routine was usually the same, when she made these visits. She would fix the flowers, unload the vegetables she'd brought him, then wander into the livingroom.

Both heads turned again as Jan made her appearance, as expected, one still slightly miffed despite her welcome visit, one smiling curiously her way. As Jan's voice hesitated, Lyrus decided to risk grabby hands from under the couch and stood, waving Jan over. "We can try it on that record player, I finally brought it up from the shop and cleaned it up a bit." He paused, then made a slight gesture towards the girl. "This is Delia, she'll be staying with me for a while. She's...kind of my sister. Kind of."

Jan handed over the record, raising a brief eyebrow at Lyrus's introduction before bending a little to stretch out her hand in greeting to Delia. "'M Jan." The blonde was sort of Lyrus's sister, herself. Sort of. Settling on the couch, she let her brown eyes run over the other girl. Checking her out. Jan wasn't particularly shy. She was cute. Another pause and she turned her head toward the other sin'aeis.

"I brough' o'er a jug o' juice fer ya, too. Pomegranate." Jan's personal favorite.

"Call me Dee," the girl responded despite Lyrus's prior introduction, catching Jan's hand for a firm shake. The once-over was not lost to Delia, and she seemed more amused than anything by it, quirking a brow at the potato Sin as her smile gave way to a faint smirk. Not a shy one either, then. "I can take that," she interrupted before Lyrus could reply, and set her popcorn bowl aside in favor of standing and accepting the jug of pomegranate juice from Jan. Without a word to Lyrus, she left the room.

Lyrus frowned, but dismissed her with a shake of his head and left the couch to her and Jan, instead sinking into an armchair to the side. "She's helpful," he muttered, then cleared his throat, making a determined effort to be a bit more optimistic. "She's Banda's kid. I guess technically she'd be my niece or something. It's weird."

But now he didn't have to focus on that. Jan was here to distract him, and it was certainly good to see her again. He smiled. "I'm glad you're making use of that key. How's your week been?"

Jan grinned, somewhat pleased, allowing the other girl to take the jug. "Dee, et es." After she disappeared into the small kitchen, Jan leaned forward to rest her forearms on her thighs, an almost exhausted, sheepish smile shooting his way from beneath her bangs.

"Wha'ever she es, she's cute. My week...?"

Well, it was Thursday, now. Jan sighed, shaking her head.

"I 'ad lunch with Ancelin on Tues'ay." Pause. Her voice lowered slightly with amusement as she relayed their restaurant conversation to the male. Afterwards, her brows raised and she just looked at him. Obviously waiting for his opinion.

Lyrus had been expecting a few casual blurbs, but when he realized a story was coming he sat forward in his seat and reached over for the remote, turning down the horror movie still playing on the television so he could hear Jan over the occasional scream. Delia returned after a couple of minutes and took her seat without interrupting, settling her popcorn bowl on her lap once more and half-tuning into the story. Her attention was mostly on the movie. Mostly. Not really.

As the story came to an end, Lyrus grimaced, sinking back in his seat and running a hand through his hair. He paused to scratch at the area immediately around the base of his horn, then shrugged. "I dunno, Jan. Isn't this the same girl that's been pissin' you off since you were a kid? Stringing you along? I can't really see things ending well if you show up tomorrow."

"'Ell, ya bet she es. I tried 'xplainin' tha' to 'er, yanno me." Jan shook her head. She pointed out how she'd even made a list of reasons. The blonde shrugged with a laugh, blowing hair from her eyes as she continued. "I almos' figure tha' maybe this'll git 'er t'chill ******** out, eh? She's... I dunna know, almos' scary?"

Jan sat up, then sunk back into the couch, sliding off her flip-flops. She was wearing a fitted crimson tee and faded out jeans today. Her toenails were a matching red. "I can' ever jes 'ang out with 'er, 'n chill. We're too differ'n. So I guess I'm 'opin' ef sex es outta th'way, she'll see tha', too."

The blonde's brow creased slightly in a frown. "Wha' do ya'll think?" Yes. You all. She was including Delia, whom she assumed had heard most of it.

"Ancelin's not exactly what I'd call rational," Lyrus drawled, and opted to pause the movie rather than losing track of it altogether. The screams, quiet as they were, were getting annoying when there was no plot behind them, and Delia seemed to be more focused on the conversation by now anyway. "It kinda sounds like she's just clinging to you because...she always has. She's possessive. There's no other real reasoning behind it. You're too different."

Delia slipped down in her seat, turning to sit sideways and leaning back against the arm of the couch. "I kinda think sex is just going to fuel her. I mean, I don't know this girl, but form what you've said she seems rather infatuated with you. I think giving her sex would only make her think you were more into her. Might make her harder to get rid of." She shrugged.

"Well, 'pparently, she's clingin' 'cause she loves me," Jan laughed, her dark brown eyes slowly moving from Lyrus to Delia. She seemed sane. That was really nice. A lot of times pretty and sane did not go hand-in-hand. Look at Lorelei and Ancelin. Well, Jan happened to rather like Lorelei.... "But, I think y'may be righ' 'bout tha'."

"I'll 'ave t'think up a betta 'xcuse fer not showin' than playin' scrabble with ya, Lyrus. Er she'll prolly do somethin' dramatic."
