For those of you who did not hear of it when it had first been restarted, Alvirad is a medieval/fantasy roleplay that extends the entire continent known as Alvirad. Currently, we are just short of 10 active roleplayers. Just as something of a teaser, I've included a bit from the original introduction:
A little over 100 years ago in the world of Aundair, the Dragons departed the continent of Alvirad for safer parts, thus ending the age-long war between humans and the mystic beings. As peace came to the humans of Alvirad, the many tribes and nationalities found themselves beneath one King. For many years this King reigned and for that time there was growth, peace, and prosperity. When the King passed away quite suddenly, he left his kingdom without a chosen heir.
This led to conflict amongst the King's four children, all of whom had come of age. In the end, two were slain. Now, the kingdom and continent of Alvirad has been divided into four provinces, each with its own Regent. Two are the remaining children of the King while the other pair are nobles of high importance during the previous King's reign and the war that ensued his death.
Now it seems, war may break out once more as tensions build among the four provincial leaders. Will chaos break out once more, or will one leader rise up to bring peace back to Alvirad?
Only time will tell.

Also, if you are the type of person into mythology, we recently held a writing contest to help expand the Lore behind the Gods and Goddesses of Alvirad. The Grand Prize winner will be receiving two March '08 Letters, Second Place will receive one, Third Place earns 1250 GOLD, and the Reader's Choice will also receive 1250 GOLD.
