The Nightshift

As I travel back from my late undertaking
I saw a lady in white gently walking
I approached her to ask her something
But suddenly she faded into nothing.
I thought it over and then I realized
She was a creature whom I despise
I hurried home furious and terrified
But in front of me, I saw a monster, one-eyed.
A fearful scream tore out my throat
And then I noticed something, "Did I just float?"
"Am I going to be insane?" I also said
It seems that I too was dead.
Leaving my body instead
But in front of me, there is another lady, now in red
Soothingly caressing me in bed.
As I woke up seing my beautiful mother who said
"Last night, we think you hit your head.
and today, you're on your death bed."
Again I saw the lady in red
Collecting my soul and told me,
"I'm sorry, the nightshift just caused your sudden death."
