I had to make this one because I absolutely loved Suffer the little children. The way he wrote it was... beautifully written. I loved the detail as always and the concept of a creature infecting children and driving a mean old teacher crazy is a lovely Idea. I think we all wished that would happen to our mean old elem teachers.

I hated my 5th grade teacher, but I never wished she would kill me...

I meant that she would go insane and stop teaching. But yeah I see your point here.

Lol, exactly. Now, allow me to pull up the list of stories in NIghtmares & Dreamscapes so I can comment on it...

Ah, yes. Dolan's Cadilac kicked a**. Completely awesome.

Chattery Teeth, The Moving Finger, and Sneakers were all pretty creepy. I liked them all. Probably the Moving Finger best of all because of the Jeopardy in the background. I thought that added a great touch. Not to mention how they found him in the end.

You Know They Got A Hell of A Band was just terrific. I'm really into classic rock, so of course I caught on to Janis pretty early and the rest was really cool.

The Ten O' Clock People is another one I liked. Possibly a tie-in to my Quitters Inc. obsession? You tell me.

And finally, Umney's Last Case was the last one that I liked a lot. I think whoever wrote Stranger Than Fiction ripped it off and used Will Farrel to make it goofy and pointless. He's funny, but he's hit or miss in movies, really.

And that's all I've got to say about that.

Dolan's Cadillac was amazing. I like the very prevalent theme of revenge in it.

That and just the way he did it. When Dolan realized he'd been caught.... I just loved that to no end...

I like King's use of the word, 'cocksucker', near the end. But the entire delicate process of preparing for the dig, then the finesse with which King wrote it with was absolutely amazing. The clarity and attention to detail is amazing as always. If books were crack, King's stories like Suffer the Little Children, Dolan's Cadillac, and Duma Key, would be my king of Crack. I'm only 26 pages into Duma Key and I love it. It had me interested in the first paragraph.

You know the beginning started out as a short story and then he expanded it. I liked Duma as well. I know he mentions Wireman a few times before he actually comes in. Wireman is awesome. You'll like him from the start.

Have you noticed that this subforum is like our domain? Are we the only ones who read them? I don't know about you but I've read all four collections...

Yeah he has mentioned Wireman from the start. I have been wondering what he is all about. I like the 'How to draw a picture' things. My friend told me about Duma Key and he told me those are what weirded him out.

I haven't read all of the ones I own. But I own Skeleton Crew, and Nightmares and Dreamscapes. I have read select stories from Everything's eventual, and really only select stories from the two I own.
