Oathkeeper was enjoy a grand day to himself. His three children, all grown, were off living their lives (but luckily loving enough to come and say hi to dear-old-dad from time to time) and he's just left his mate, Auriga, after letting her know he was going off to enjoy the day. She of coarse didn't mind, she'd intended to settle in for a nap anyhow.

As he went on, he admired how lovely the Spring sky was. Today is was a lovely vibrant blue and little puffy pure white clouds were drifting by. He couldn't have been cheerier. It was nice to be alone for little amounts of time. He inhaled the air deeply and trotted along in a calm and zen matter.

What would his little outting bring him today?

A small sigh escaped the stallion's lips as he trotted on. He was alone, with no family. Not that he really cared, but sometimes, he did miss having someone by his side at least. A friend perhaps.

The problem was that he had even lost the only friend he had since he was young.

Snorting lightly, he tossed his long mane, flicking his tail lightly. Maybe...just maybe he would meet her today.

As Oathkeeper was jogging along, his ears picked up a strange repeat of his hoof beats. Strange...it was no echo, as the stallion had 1st thought---It was someone else, most likely headed in his direction, as the hoof beat's of the other grew louder.

And indeed it was another. Oathkeeper suspected he saw the other stallion 1st, as the other traveler appeared to be lost in thought about something. "Well hello there!" Oathkeeper greeted when within hearing distance. He himself came to a graceful stop and gave the other a smile.

He was always so friendly and open to meeting new people, and this other stallion of coarse, was a new face indeed. Although, strangely, something seemed familiar about him---but there was no was Oathkeeper could put a hoof on it since he'd never seen him before.

"Interesting markings!" he chuckled kindly, "You look like me!---in a way." Oathkeeper was clearly hoping that'd spark some sort of good conversation.

True enough, Oathkeeper was the one that caught sight of Reikon first. The latter was too absorbed in his thoughts, like he always was.

On hearing another greet him, his head jerked up, and bright blue eyes met the other's lighter ones. There was something very familiar about this Soquili, although he couldn't exactly put his hoof on it. He didn't recall seeing this stallion before though...he hadn't exactly met much people when he was young. But he still couldn't shake off that feeling. It was as if he knew him...in a dream, or something.

He tilted his head to observe the other. "So are yours." He replied, a dark red eyebrow raised. "...I guess we kind of do." The weird, rather metallic markings on their chests and the impression upon their braided tails. Something struck him that he should know the other...but in fact, he didn't. He had only met the stallion today.

At the other's reply about looking alike Oath smiled. "Yup, 'cept yours look...cooler? I don't know what word I'm really searching for. People say I look kinda girly" he laughed. Nothing was ever really girly about him, but nor was he overly masculane either. He was just the nice ol' gentleman he loved being.

"Anyhow, I'm Oathkeeper" he replied, in a not so formal introduction this time around. He felt he didn't need to be formal...he knew this other guy somehow, so casual came natural. "Whats yous?

"Girly?" Reikon murmured, echoing the other's words with a snort. "Just more...colorful, probably." The stallion didn't seem to be very girly to him. Wasn't it a kind of insult anyway? It wasn't really nice, unless you wanted to be straightforward about it. And to Reikon, he didn't really see why others would see it that way.

"Reikon Taberu." He simply said, voicing his whole name without any hesitation.

"Colorful, yes I agree with that" he laughed, "I'd like to hope, and think. I'm don't look 'girly.' Anyways, pleased to meet you Reikon! Is it okay that I call you by your 1st name?" he asked. Oathkeeper himself didn't have an extra name of 'full title' but he never felt silly in making sure than when others had longer names that he knew which part of it they preferred to be referred to as. It was just common curtsy.

He shrugged lightly. "It's fine with me." He replied simply. Most called him by his first name, just for the convenience of it. He didn't exactly mind, at all.

There was a hint of curiosity in his steel blue eyes as he talked again. "...Do I know you?" Something was nagging in him that he did, but he really didn't remember, no matter how much he racked his brain.

(Mule reply! Tis Ivory---updating Teepee & RPs!)

Taken aback by the very question he'd been longing to ask too, he stumbled for words. "Well---I. No, I don't believe we're ever met, but the very feeling of knowing you has been nagging at me as well!" Oathkeeper stammered. "It is indeed that very strange feeling we've met before..." he tilted his head up to the sky a moment and pondered. "But there's no way I can put a hoof on where!" he replied.

His eyes widened slightly. So it wasn't only him that was having that feeling either? And if both of them did, yet couldn't remember them meeting...what in the world did it mean? "It's weird." The stallion murmured slightly, furrowing his dark eyebrows. This was confusing indeed.

"Well if it comes to either of our minds, we can mention it. But I don't see it coming to mine quickly currently" Oathkeeper began, smiling in a light hearted way. "Perhaps for now we should let it be and just get to know each other?" he suggested. "Where do you come from Reikon? Do you have family?" Starting the questions was always the easiest for the keyblade stallion since he honestly loved meeting and learning about others.

He himself agreed silently with the comment. He had racked his memory, and he knew he wouldn't forget someone he had met before, seeing he didn't exactly meet many stallions. Perhaps Oathkeeper was her friend. "...Do you know who Hidden Dragon is?" He asked almost abruptly. Perhaps she would solve this mystery.

His family. Although it was rather touchy subject for him, time had passed as he grew up, and grew immune to it. When he was young, he would grow upset, or even snap at the person who had asked. "I don't have a family." He said simply. "You?"

Oathkeeper bit his tongue at the realization he's hit a touchy subject. He pondered not mentioning his family, but then thought that'd be silly. Hopefully the stallion wouldn't mind him sharing after all. "Well, I have a mate. Her name is Auriga and she quite resembles the night sky. We just had three offspring recently, two sons and a daughter; Eridanus, Starwielder & Starseeker" he continued.

Pausing a moment he thought to share sympathy. "You know, I don't come from a family, but I've made one for myself. Perhaps that too would bring you happiness? Finding the right mare, settling down -well somewhat, adventures can still happen- and raising a family is one of the most lovingly enjoyable things there is" he added.

He bobbed his head slowly as the stallion spoke. Time had made him quite insensitive to his own plight of being an orphan. A family. He had never known what a family was to be like.

An eyebrow raised, finding the notion of him having a family quite...ridiculous. First of all, he had no idea how to be a father, and second of all, he wasn't looking for a mate. The idea of a family was not only puzzling, being happy was as well. He was quite content with being the loner he was, yet he couldn't say he was happy. He wasn't sure if having a family meant he would be happier. There were different cases. "We'll see how it goes." He murmured. "I'm not really a family guy."

"Well to each his own, I suppose" Oathkeeper replied kindly, trying to be as unbiased as possible. Which, of coarse, ended up being just a little bit hard, considering family is what was most precious and valueable to him. "I do supposed the world would be greatly over populated if every person was a 'family person" he added, trying regain better conversation. "Then, perhaps just friends? Its never too fun to be alone in the world." Oathkeeper wondered how that statement was going to go.
