That will work on Laptops and the PS3 so people can download lots of HD Movies.
I am personally looking forward to this.
Sorry I lost the article.

For those of you with highspeed and no limits to your monthly downloads, that would be nice. For those in my shoes, its just another one of those things I brush off. I think with all this talk from a few people about how "movies on disc will be gone by 2010" are smoking something, because people first, like to have a hard copy to actually OWN, and second, you require the entire world, to have easily accessible highspeed net with NO limits on downloads. Its been 10 years, I still cant get highspeed net here, hell I cant get even get something thats twice the speed of dial-up.
The concept is good, and its good they are looking at the HDD for it, however there are draw backs, and the cost will be a major factor as well.

I don't have bandwidth limits with my AT&T DSL service(6Mbps, or 600Kbps, or just 6000K), so I can download as much as I want at the same speed at the same monthly price....though not everybody has this privilege. Some have limits on bandwidth and would rather not waste it on something 20GB+. Plus, as Si-Shen said, it would cost way too much...

The lack of a limit is nice, concidering when I did have Highspeed, I had.. I think a 10 or 20 gig monthly limit, before I got charged unreal amounts of coin for every gig after.

i dont think its practical to be honest. all of the anime i own probably doesnt even amount up 350GBs, but i could see why they would offer it tho, if they are really try to play the PS3 off as a the ultimate media machine and not some game console, this will probably be the right move, i'd imagine that the next thing to see would be seeing some way of recording live TV to your PS3...unless its already been done.... eek dun dun duuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnnnn
