((or is it Fancy Feast ninja ))  It had been a few weeks since the magical moment happened. That magical moment when Gohan and Clare's noses touched. His mind was still on it, it seemed like every minute of everyday.
In the past few weeks, Gohan had grown a bit. Probably now a bit taller than Clare was, perfect for snuggles, he thought. That is, if they ever saw each other again. That he hoped, every time he went outside he would look towards her house, but she never escaped to visit him. Maybe she found someone else...or what if she didn't like him that way. His heart ached for answers.
Gohan's owner came home and opened the door to let him out. Dashing out the front door, he landed on the sidewalk and watched Clare's house obsessively. Come out, come out...

She gave the eyes. The sad puppy eyes she didn't give frequently. Her human hadn't opened that door yet, and she kept her gaze on the door, going from person to door, back to her person.
The little girl wouldn't let her out and it made her mad.
Finally, the girl got up, to let her out. She made a mad dash to the door, her tail going crazy.
When she finally got to the porch, her nose sniffed the air, and she dashed off the steps to go look around the yard.
Her girl was watching right now. Escaping was pointless. But she secretly hoped that the love of her life was around.. Was watching.
She had fallen pretty hard, and she guessed it was perfect since they'd been pups the same time.
She whined a bit, and sat her butt in the yard.
Her girl would get mad that she wasn't doing her buisness.
But thats not the only reason a dog went outside!

Patience had had enough of Gohan! He was not going to sit around and wait this time. He trotted across the street, of course he made sure there wasn't a car coming beforehand. Once he made it, he pressed his nose to her fence. "Clare?" He whispered, not even sure if she was outside.
He couldn't see much between the panels of the fence, he didn't want her owners to see him so he stood low. Leaning against the fence, he pressed an ear to it, hoping to hear a response.

Clare perked an ear as she walked to the fence, sniffing along its base and looking through the area that she could see. She smelled Gohan!
Oh had he really come to see her? Had he really... come for her?
She wagged her tail, and it wasn't two seconds before she started using her paws to push the dirt from the earth, and try to squeeze her way through the bottom of the fence.
When she had her head out, she grinned, and wagged her tail.. Even if Gohan couldnt see her tail at the moment.
"Gohan! I missed you!"
She said, using her front legs and upper strength to pull her back end out from teh fence.
When she was free, she wagged her tail some more, and shook off the dirt that would stick to her ebony and ivory pelt.

Gohan cocked his head to the side, she was there?!
"C...Clare." He stated, with a sigh of relief. He backed away from the fence, to allow her more room to sneak out. "I...uh..." Oh no, he was getting nervous. Better act quick... He leaned forward just as he had done several weeks ago, and licked her on the cheek. "Nice to see you."
A soft reddish color rose to his face. "Little lady."

Oh if he kept this up she was going to freeze up and die. She shyed away bashfully, again, and grinned.
"Nice to see you too."
She said, eyes wide as he licked her cheek.
She leaned her head in, and licked his nose, trying to give him the same amount of loving he had given her.
He was so affectionate. She loved it.
Her tail wagged, and she moved her paws and legs around, but she stayed in place, unmoving.
She smiled again, and cocked her head.
"I like being your little lady."
She said, her eyes sincere.
"Cause I am, you know." She said, looking him dead in the eyes.
"Your little lady."

Woah, had she really just kissed him back? His heart thumped so loud and fast, he was sure she could hear it. Something in him seemed to be turned on, and he couldn't help his eyes wander down her body. Dang, he had never noticed how nice it was. Quickly, he realized he was staring at all the wrong places and looked back up at her eyes.
"I like being your little lady" She had said.
Their eyes made a deep contact. Oh god, it was so deep it was almost frightening for the young mutt. Her words, matched with her stare made him crazy inside.
His sight began to blur with all of this. What the heck.
"I think I love you, Clare. I cain't help it." He blushed more deeply than ever and nuzzled her neck lightly. "Like, your mah dandelion or somethin'."

Clare wagged her tail, and swore she saw him turn a few shades pinker than he had been. His eyes were looking her over. Hopefully it wasn't for approval.. Maybe he didn't like her after all! She looked wide eyed for a minute, before his words hit her black ears.
Had he just said he loved her?! Oh my goodness! Was that was this feeling was?
Love?
She cocked her head, and smiled, offering a light bark.
"I think I love you too, Gohan. And I'd love to be your little Dandelion."
She replied, giving him a nuzzle to add to the color on his already flushing cheeks.

He chuckled softly, he couldn't believe it. It seemed like just yesterday they had met and now they were confessing their love to each other! It felt so right to do it, he would have done it when the had first met. It had been love at first sniff.
Blushing even more when she nuzzled him back, he was embarrassed. He must look like one sissy dog to her! But his thoughts like that didn't matter now, he knew she loved him. Suddenly a surge of energy that he couldn't explain flew through him.
"Clare!" He yelled as he placed a foreleg on her back. "We should run away! I know you love your family, and I love mine. But, right now, I love you way more. We'll come back, I just...I want to be all yours, darlin'."

Whoa, one minute they were talking about loving each other, the next they were running away? She didnt know if she could leave her little girl. Her little girl would miss her so much.
After all. Who would sleep next to the little girl, now? She thought long and hard.
Well.. She supposed it would be okay to do for a few days.. But she would have to return, no doubt about it. She loved that little girl, and that little girl needed her.
"Okay, Gohan, we shall go away. But I would need to come back. I love my little girl, and she needs me. But for a few days, I could be all yours."
She said, wagging her tail, and lowering her eyelids.
Was this what love was? Wanting to run away and getting all these...urges?

Gohan of course knew that Clare wouldn't really want to leave. Just a few days by themselves would be wonderful. He wagged his tail, quicker than ever, she agreed?
"Dun't worry, lil' lady. I'll take good care of you and we'll be back before she even realizes you're gone." He nuzzled her side and licked her cheek again. It felt awkward still, but he would get used to it eventually.
He wasn't sure what would happen while they were gone. Maybe they would just get to know each other a bit better, he hoped. They could just lay around and cuddle all day without worrying about their home-life.
"Kay, let's go before they find out!" He said, crouching playfully at her. Where would they go? Probably the wooded area of the park, and they could live off of hotdogs from the vendor for a few days, right? Gohan darted a few feet ahead of her, waiting for her to run along beside her.
"Come on, my girl." He whispered with a wink.

His nuzzle and lick to her cheek made her flutter, and momentarily forget about the little girl as she closed her eyes and smiled.
When she finally opened her eyes, she nodded, and stood up, ready to follow him whereever he needed to go.
She had no idea where they would go. Or what they would do. But if he wanted to go to the park, as badly as she did right now, they could lay next to each other, keeping each other warm in the night.
That would be amazing.
She would be like the Lady and the Tramp movie her little girl was always watching.
She loved that movie.
"Coming!" She said, trailing behind him before she gave a bit of jump to her step and caught up. She walked with him, talking and smiling, and she didn't look back once.
