I am my own party. It's the same with a few of my friends. We consider ourselves our own party. We have our own views and some mix with certain parties beliefs and others clash. We support whoever we believe in during the elections. Some people would say foolish, but we say it's a system that works for us. We never fight about who we want to win. It's just an unspoken pact between us and our political views.

Linderwood What are these strange terms that make my head hurt? My friends thought up a party of their own, Its really stupid though because u have to be multicultural. If you're not then u get shot. I think that Ill stay away from them 4 a while... Hmm..... Are you sure they made up their own? " Its really stupid though because u have to be multicultural. If you're not then u get shot." Because it sounds like they're Liberal to me... (I would stay away from them for a while, too. )

in the history of the united states, there have only been 3 major political parties, and one party was only for one election. most people know the two major political parties: Republican (elephant) and Democrat (donkey/ jackass), and the third was nicknamed the Moose Party (moose). The Moose Party was invented when Theadore Roosevelt ran for President a third time after Taft had been president for four years. Taft was of the republican party and for the democratic party, it was woodrow wilson. Roosevelt was loved by America, but because he split the vote for people who vote republican, Woodrow Wilson won the election, the moose party dissolved. In my opinion, it is a really stupid idea that only two parties get major recognition, but I doubt it will ever change.

Here's a little-known fact that you may or may not know.
George Washington, the United States of America's first president, had no desire for there to be any sort of political parties in campaigns. I, personally, agree with his desire. For one, it would end the political prejudice in the races (for the most part) so the people aren't obliged to vote for someone just because he/she is from their political party. They would have the chance to look at every person individually and make their own choice from the cooking pot itself rather than what's in your own bowl that the wait(er/tress) brings to the table. (I hope my analogy helps you to understand my point) Now, I'm not saying that we should get rid of the multiple political parties, because of the social distraught that would be sure to follow. I'm just stating my opinion.

That is ironic^^
I think the main reason we didn't listen is because of how egotistical people can get. We tend to not want to be grouped together with someone else who has contrasting beliefs. Like a Democrat and a Republican. Republicans treat Democrats like crap because they believe in a different was to run the government. If you were someone who started the Republican party, you would've wanted something to set that definitive line to separate your ideas from another person so you have all these little different ideas instead of mixing them all together to create one big idea to benefit the whole. I hope that makes sense...
