 Alyna pranced through the grassy plains, running off, yet again, from her guardian wolf. At such a young age, she was already affected by her father's wanderlust, a burning desire to explore new places that she indulged as often as possible. Alyna loved meeting new Soquili, as each one was different from the last. So, she explored the plains, somewhere she had never been before, hoping to meet someone new.

Ambrosia found herself sneaking away from her mother once again... it wasn't too hard considering she was now distracted with another foal and two baskets. The young filly had now came upon a clearing and was grazing idley amung the grass. She didn't realize that there was another horse around, let alone, another foal. Getting bored of her current location, she forged ahead, taking time to go in leaps and bounds through the tall grass.

Alyna meandered through the grassy plains, not really paying attention to her surroundings until she saw a most peculiar sight. She saw a metal-covered creature! She wondered what it was, and so she walked closer. She discovered it to be a little foal, almost completely covered in metal armor. Alyna wondered why a foal would need armor. Maybe she wanted to be protected from Skinwalkers? Alyna didn't know, but she was determined to be friendly towards the little foal regardless.
Bounding up towards the filly, Alyna smiled and introduced herself. "Hi there! I'm Alyna! What's your name?" Alyna caught her reflection in the armor, and squinted at it. "Does my face really look like that?" she wondered aloud, looking at the distorted image in the armor.

Ambrosia continued to bound through the grass, only pausing when she had scared a butterfly from its perch. It was only when she watched it flutter off that she noticed something coming to her. Blinking, she watched the other figure until she realized it was another foal. That brought a smile to her lips as she raced over to meet her half way.
When the two finally met, she returned the smile. "My name is Ambrosia." She replied with a happy flick of a tail. She was excited to actually meet another foal for the first time. The armored foal couldn't help but blink at the other foal when she glanced at the armor. "... What are you doing?"

Alyna blinked and looked up. "Oh, I just caught my reflection in your armor. I look funny in it, all stretched out. I don't really look that way, do I?" Alyna smiled. "Anyway, it's great to meet'cha, Ambrosia."
Alyna was curious about this foal. She seemed nice, which lifted Alyna's spirits, but she was also a little odd, as she was different from all of the other foals that Alyna had met. Then again, Alyna was odd as well, as she was completely obsessed with the colors on the tip of her tail. Alyna swished her tail absentmindedly, wishing that she could see the colors without running in a circle.

The armored foal tossed her head back some, giving the other a questioning look. "What are you talking about? What armor?" She asked, giving her own tail a small flick.
This being the first time meeting another foal, this is her first time finding out about their bluntness. Her mother never told her about any armor on her body... but then again, she didn't know that her mother wasn't by birth either. Either way, being told that her body was giving off reflections by some armor came to be a shock, though she didn't really believe it.

Puzzled, Alyna said, "The armor all over you. Didn't anyone ever tell you that you had armor on you?" Alyna couldn't believe that Ambrosia didn't realize what she looked like. Surely someone had told her, at some point. Ambrosia must be joking, Alyna decided. After all, she thought, there was no way for Ambrosia to not notice her armor!

With a snort, Ambrosia shook her head. "No! Besides, why would I have armor for? It would be hard for my mom to even have me, let alone put it on me." She retorted with an annoyed flick of her tail. That's just plain weird for her to have armor. Her mother would have told her... wouldn't she? No, there was no way she was going to believe some silly thing such as this.

Alyna frowned. So no one had told her. Alyna didn't understand why they hadn't, after all, she would figure it out eventually. So, Alyna decided to show her. She gently lifted a hoof and placed it on the armor on Ambrosia's back. "Can you feel me touching you?" Alyna asked gently.

The foal watched as Alyna lifted a hoof and placed it onto her back. That's when she had noticed that she didn't exactly feel her hoof in the location, just a small amount of pressure. "I feel something!" She retorted in a huff, turning away so that the other foal's hoof slipped off her back.

Alyna frowned as her hoof fell to the ground. So, that approach wouldn't work. "Maybe so, but I doubt you feel very much under there!" Alyna retorted, becoming agitated that Ambrosia wasn't being very cooperative. Well, if that approach wouldn't work, perhaps another would. Alyna lifted her hoof again, this time lightly tapping on the armor, hearing a bell-like sound each time her hoof touched the metal. "Hear that? That's not skin. I don't understand how you haven't realized that you're wearing armor...I mean, can't you feel it against your skin?"

Ambrosia snorted at Alyna as, once again, she brought a hoof up to her. She had heard the chiming coming from the metal and hoof contact, but decided to ignore it. Once again, she just moved away from the other filly, glaring in slight annoyance. "So what?! Why are you so intent on proving I have this 'armor' on me anyways? It's not like it bothers you or anything."

Obviously, this filly was in denial. That was the only plausible explanation for her behavior. Alyna frowned, a hurt sort of expression on her face. "That may be true...I just didn't think that you wouldn't know it was there. I guess if you want to deny it, you can. I suppose I can't force you to believe something, even if it's true." Alyna couldn't believe that Ambrosia couldn't see that she was wearing armor. It wasn't like Alyna would hold it against her or anything.

With a snort, Ambrosia pushed the little 'squabble' out of her mind. Her tail flicked lazily behind her as she remained silent for the mean time. It wasn't that she was in denial, now she had an idea that 'something' was on her, she just didn't really believe it. She had figured that her mother would have told her if there was something 'wrong' with her and so this was a total surprise. Finally, she broke the silence by muttering, "... I'm sorry."

Completely in shock, Alyna looked up at Ambrosia. "It wasn't your fault...I shouldn't have been so pushy. I should be apologizing to you." Alyna smiled at her. "I'm sorry, too. We can still be friends, right?" Alyna hoped that they could be friends. She rather liked this filly, even if she was a bit odd.
