Aw, hun, you should break it to them gently. I know that lots of older people have a big problem with it, but nowadays, people are starting to be more accepting of it. If you don't tell them, you'll probably end up regretting it.
Since I have a lot of gay friends, I had to go through years of my grandpa saying bad stuff about them, but I didn't have a problem telling him I was bi. But honestly, if they're homophobic, it's better not to tell them. Plus, it's pretty obvious that your sister doesn't have a problem with it.
And, about the fanfic thing, xd hilarious. My mom knows of my obsession with yaoi, and she knows I have hourds of yaoi porn locked on my flashdrive rofl

my friends make fun of me because i like yaoi crying ( thats just not right)
i had drawn an awesome pic of L and Raito kissing (Death Note)
and he ripped it up... RIGHT INFRONT OF MEH!! evil evil gonk crying burning_eyes it was the sadest 10.2 seconds of my life *crys* crying gonk burning_eyes emo emo emo

My stupid friend did that too, but it was prolly the best drawing I've ever done, but it was Inuyasha, all shadowy and stuffs, plus it looked just lyke him in teh 2nd movie emo *emos*

Some of my friends make fun of my Yaoi addiction...I was really ticked when I found out 3 of them had gone and done it behind my back and then acted like nothing was wrong the next day evil
However, I have a few friends that share my addiction ^_^ One even writes and draws yaoi. whee
Luckly for me my parents raised me to be open about everything, including gender preferances. If I turn out to be bi (I'm not sure if I am or not) I won't have to worry about telling them, they'll be fine with it. My brother might freak out but that's his problem.
I have some friends who are bi or homosexual and they're just like all my other friends, only more open minded 3nodding
