Dinaledi didn't have a clue as to why he was venturing out towards the rogue lands on this night. It seemed like this was a place that he dreaded when he was actually here. However, now that his pride had finally settled he wanted to go explore, and really experience the thrill of meeting people not of his pride. Now that the anxiety and stress that was once attached to this area had dissipated, it wasn't so bad after all. He stretched and let out a growl as he scanned the area for any other signs of life. It seemed pretty bare, but Dinaledi didn't mind a night to himself to think. He pondered about the beautiful female back at home, but she was quickly put out of his mind when he thought about the fact that he didn't even know if she liked him back. The whole relationship thing was so complicated. Why couldn't everyone just say how they felt? It would certainly make things run faster.

Kisirani loved the night time. She felt that it was her best hour, when the moon would work it's magic on her. Sure, she wasn't a white colour, so the glow of the moon couldn't be reflected off of her pelt, but sometimes the most thrilling times were in the night. It was always so quiet, so secretive, so exclusive. She lived for the night. Humming a small, slow tune to herself, her light blue eyes scanned the savannah for signs of anything around. It wasn't normal to find others, but she would strike gold tonight.
She soon caught sight of a movement. Oohh? Curiousity was part of her MO, and she soon strutted her way in the direction of the other, keeping to her pace and tune as if she hadn't stopped to spot the other. Male or female, whatever was fine with her as long as she could get some sort of conversation. If they were hostile, well, she could always simply excuse herself from the situation. Her instinct told her that it should go okay. Conversation never hurt, did it?

Dinaledi's head quickly turned when he heard someone humming. The grass began to rustle, and he steadied himself in case this was some sort of attack. Although, someone who was attacking probably wouldn't give themselves away so easily by humming. He relaxed when he realized that it was a female lion by the looks of it. Without the sunlight it was hard to tell what color her fur was, but it was dark at night, much like his own. He spotted her pale blue eyes amidst the darkness, and met her gaze. "Hello," he paused for a moment and looked up at the night sky, "It's a lovely night, isn't it?"

The deep red lioness smiled sweetly, but in all reality there was a wide grin hiding underneath that. The stars were certainly aligned in her favour tonight. She slowed her walk, her ears perked forward at the other. By the sound of the voice, it was a male. She let herself sway just lighty, enough that it would be hard to detect unless you looked for it.
"Well, hello," she purred, following his motion to look up at the sky. "Yes, the stars are quite clear tonight. Do you favor the night as well, or perhaps just going for a quiet walk?" she asked, hoping to get just a bit of him out of his answers. Where did he live, did he have a pride, was he alone, ect ect. It was funny how much information you might be able to grab out of a short answer.

Dinaledi looked over and notice the deep red fur of the female. He looked her over, and decided that he'd stay for a while at least. "Yes, I favor the night. I was born at night, and the pride I'm a member of, the Mwezi'Johari is centered around the moon. I figured now that the pride is settled once again that I could venture out here tonight. See, we just finished moving from one homeland to another, and these lands were an area full of stress. Now that the feeling is gone, it's nice to come out here and relax in the solitude." He smiled, but the smile quickly disappeared as he realized he completely just gave way too much information to a stranger without even thinking.

Her ears swiveled forward to pcik up all of this information, quietly filing it away in her mind. It was good to know everything that you could get your paws on; knowledge never hurt you. Especially if you might need it for something else later on.
"Wow!" she said, genuinely surprised. "That must have been hard. I'm a rogue, and I'm fine being pride-less, but having to deal with a whole pride moving together? I imagine that must have been rough." It was surprising still, but she soon let herself calm down a bit and nod. Just the idea of that seemed very....grand, actually. They must be a very fancy prde to be able to do that, as well as praise the moon.

Dinaledi smirked as the lioness seemed so interested in pride life. He had grown up in the pride, and that's all he had really ever known. He figured he would probably never be able to come and live by himself or just a few others here in the rogue lands. "I'm quite sorry, but I don't think I ever got your name, I'm Dinaledi if I haven't said it yet."
He looked back at the red female, "Well, it honestly wasn't too bad. Sure, a few slaves escaped, but that wasn't a big deal to me." He didn't know how long he could continue this charade that moving wasn't a big deal. Really, it was. It took such a toll on all of the pride, himself included. To lose a few slaves was devastating, because it lowered their already small number. Thankfully, two rogues recently joined and had a litter of eight giving the pride somewhat of a population boost. Nevertheless, the pride was still not what it used to be, and Dinaledi came out here to think and reflect on what he could do to make it like it used to be.

Kisirani nodded as he offered his name, but she waited for a moment before offering her own. It was fun, playing a bit of a teasing game, but not too much of one. She took two more steps closer to him, slowly, hopeful that he might not notice until she was already there.
"A tragedy, though, certainly!" She could tell when a subject needed to be drop. "But it is good that everything is worked out now, no?" She looked up again to the sky with the heavy moon hanging in it. With a sigh, she glanced back at him.
"I apologize, it slipped my mind! I'm Kisirani," she said, bowing her head. "It's a pleasure to meet you, sir, I just hope that I am not interrupting your evening...." Her voice trailed off, though she let her tone switch upwards at the end, almost like it was a question. She hoped not, she thought she was good company!

The words lingered in the air for a moment. The situation his pride had been put through was simply not just a tragedy. It was absolutely unbearable for him to think back to the images seared into his memory from the war, and forced his mind to think about something else. However, the more he tried thinking about something else, the more pain it caused him. His mind only could focus on the day that his parents were announced dead, leaving him a parentless.
He nodded once, his mind certainly off somewhere else. "Yeah. Most everything is worked out. We just have stragglers still wandering around... somewhere." Dinaledi contemplated the possibility of meeting one of his lost pride members out here while he was 'exploring'. He was worried that they might see him out here not doing anything pride-related.
"It's a pleasure, here as well, Kisirani. You certainly did not interrupt my evening at all. I've just been coming out here lately in search for something to do, and I'm really glad I found you out here to cure any loneliness I might have had to suffer." He sighed, and looked up at the moon which was barely visible. The great lion didn't approve of something, or maybe somebody tonight. Nervously tapping his foot, he hoped that somebody wasn't him.

Kisirani's tail curled, the lioness loving every little bit that she saw. He was young, a bit younger than what she normally went for. But he seemed sweet, and needing something. Something that Kisirani would be more than happy to offer him. He also seemed lonely, like there was just something missing in him. And while she never stuck around, she'd still be happy to make him feel better, even if for only one night...
She let her body sway a bit closer to him, acting like she didn't notice too much at all. She could tell that there were more emotions behind what he was saying, but men were men. They always hid their emotions, especially if they were ones that could be pinned as weak. She never understood it, but it seemed like they were hardwired like that.
"Lonely? Surely not! I'd be more than pleased to guarantee that you will not be lonely tonight. All you need to do is ask." She let her smile fall to something a bit more innocent, so hopefully he wouldn't pick up her normal way of offering.

A cloud passed for a moment, allowing the moon to shine down upon the two of them for a brief moment. In the moonlight her brilliant red coat with exotic markings danced across his vision gracefully. When he was around her he felt like she actually cared for him, and his feelings. For some reason, he began to feel more and more comfortable as the time went on. As an adolescent lion who didn't always mesh with everyone, he wasn't used to getting along with another lion so easily.
Any tension remaining in his body drifted away, as did his concerns. Her voice soothed his being, and he closed his eyes for just a moment to take it all in. It was a beautiful night, and he was with a beautiful lioness, and there was nothing that could ruin it. An image flashed through his head for only a moment, but it was enough to make him tense up again. It was an image he knew all too well; a certain tan lioness.
He didn't know why he even thought about her. He 'liked' her, but she never really showed any interest back in him. Recklessly, he moved closer to Kisirani. He didn't care about anything anymore, because he wasn't sure about his position to anyone. Tonight he was free like a rogue, and he was going to make use of his new found freedom. "I guess I'm going to have to take you up on that offer. I don't have to be anywhere anytime soon."

Kisirani felt like perhaps she was getting somewhere. The best way to know was to read every movement and judge just what it was telling her. Problem was, it was hard to do that without actually giving away what you were doing. Plus staring at another was strange, especially if you did not know them very closely, either.
Once he had shifted a bit closer to her, though, she knew she had won. Won what? Well, her game. It was always a pleasure to come out on top, and she seemed to pull it off quite nicely tonight.
She grinned, giving him a soft nuzzle on the side of his face. "Well, then. I can be all yours." What a sweetheart, she thought. Young, impulsive, but still sweet under all of that. I like him.
"Care for a small walk together, then?" she asked him, raising a brow for encouragement, but accompanied by a grin.

Ledi watched her, carefully not wanting to push her away with any impulsive actions. Although, when she nuzzled his face he was shocked, in a good way. If some sort of blushing could have been sensed through his deep blue fur, it would have been there. He had never felt so close to anyone before, and it wasn't a feeling he wanted to lose. He wasn't entirely sure what brought him out here to the rogue lands, but if others were so willing to risk themselves to become close to another, then he certainly would make many journeys back.
The compassion, and understanding the Kisirani displayed were so foreign to the young lion. He was always being second-guessed and criticized, and out here he felt so free. However, he couldn't bear to lose his pride members back at home due to selfish reasons.
Unsure of what was the right thing to do, he gave a slight nuzzle back. With a grin, he nodded back at her statement. "I.. uh.." Not wanting to seem like a fool, he simply smiled. "Sure." He looked back into her serene, blue eyes, and gave a soft growl.
