Falconer
Because they have a singer with one of the most beautiful singing voices in the world. They mix folk elements, without turning into a folk band, also their lyrics are very poetic, make me feel good when I listen to them.

I'm sorry, but I have to go with Nightwish. They are the band that got me off of popular nu-metal and alternative rock and on to metal. Also, Century Child has to be one of my favorite cds.

My nomination goes to Iced Earth. Aside from their musical talent, they're one of the most original bands in power metal on account of their injection of some classic thrash influences into their sound, which helps their music stand out in a rather crowded subgenre. Their lyrical content, while not quite poetic, is also a cut above what passes for most power metal bands.

Slough Feg because they are one of the very few power metal bands I can still listen to and not get bored. Overplay isn't a good thing guys. It really isn't.

Edguy. Because I can listen to any of their songs over and over and love it as much as the last time if not more.

Oh man... this is a touch decision, but I think I'd have to go with.... hmm..... uhhh.... it's between Iced Earth and Edguy. I saw Edguy live, and they were AMAZING, but I can't really compare them to Iced Earth because Edguy is a lot more "happy-go-lucky" than Iced Earth is... but that's just because of Tobias Sommet's vocals... BUT... I'd say that I'd have to go with Iced Earth.
