The small black cub had found a rock to curl up on, he looked like a black ball of fluff, for the only white markings on him you couldn't see. He was a happy cub but a tired one and the sun never did him much good with his black coat. He had come to the conclusion though that if he curled up in the sun he would get use to the heat and so would be able to deal with it better. While trying to deal with the heat he had managed to fall asleep. It suited him fine of course, there was no reason to be awake. He didn't know where his siblings were but he knew they would be about somewhere.
Sharifu was in a delightful mood, very happy for no distinct reason he could think of but he wasn't at all concerned with trying to explain it. It was a beautiful day, and despite his dark fur he really was enjoying it. It might not be so great later on if he went about his merry, active way for a while but his mind was only on trying to have some fun right now. With so many cubs in the family there was never too pressing a need to leave or go far to find something to do, and unless no one was around Sharifu had no intention of going far. Wandering close to their home, it didn't take long for him to spot a very distinct black fluff ball on a rock nearby. Curled up like that it was hard to say who it was, but that was OK!
"Helloooo," he called, skipping over, "Wakey-wakey!"

"ugggggggh!" He groaned as his brother seemed to decide it would be funny to wake him up. Didn't he think that he might want to sleep? He groaned a little as he opened his eyes and lifted his head to look at his brother.
"Sharifu!!!!!!!!!" He groaned some more. He wasn't a hapy cubby when he first wakes up. It normally got better later on but he did love his sleep.
"I was sleeping!" Obidiah got up stretching and yawning. Well he had to wake up now.
Sharifu was aware enough of his sibling's habits, and knew that he was taking a chance in waking whoever this was up. When it was Obi, his smile hesitated only a moment before deciding meeting the frustration with happiness was the best way to go- maybe Obi would cheer up faster that way. With his tail swishing behind him, Sharifu smiled up at his brother on the rock.
"That's not very much fun, Obi," he said brightly, "D'you wanna play with me?"

Obi screwed his face up a little, still groaning somewhat. Sleep... play... it was an impossible choice! Sleep was so good but play was so much fun! Oh no he hated this choice it was a horrible choice.
"Okay now you have woken me up..." He smiled and jumped onto his brother. "Ha!"
Sharifu watched his brother think about it, trying to remain very cheerful so as not to encourage a decision against play. He grinned immediately when he heard the word 'okay' but he was completely unprepared for the ambush- and Obi definitely had a height advantage over him. With a screech as he tumbled to the ground, Sharifu started to laugh and tried his best to push his brother away. "No faaaair!" he cried, though he was clearly having fun, "I wasn't ready yet, Obi!"

"Well I wasn't ready for you to wake me up, so we are even!" He chuckled getting up and in a pounce position with a small playful growl, getting ready to pounce his brother again this time he was looking at those ears. They could do with being chewed on a little, that was for sure!
Taking his chance to fight back, Sharifu rolled back away from his brother- and took only a moment to stick out his tongue at the comment about being woken up before he leapt at Obi. It wasn't well aimed as he was determined to try to beat his brother before he could get pounced again.

Obi did get knocked and was quite surprised he went to move away but moved the wrong way and got knocked down. He was laughing as he pawed at his brother trying to reach that ear that was calling to him. It wanted chewing! He couldn't do much under his brother but he could wriggle and so he did. He wanted that ear!
Landing funny, Sharifu couldn't keep Obi pinned without being rather uncomfortable- and normally that might have been ok, but trying to correct his position only made him stumble to the side- giving a very easy opening for Obi to get away. A paw to the nose was enough to get him to stumble back and away, pawing back at Obi's side as he did, using him to push himself away.

As Obi was used to help Sharifu get away he managed to move himself into a position and pounced yet again, this time he was aiming for his brothers shoulders so that he could keep him down while chewing.
With a gasp and a strangled laugh, Sharifu tried to duck to avoid Obi's pounce but that was far from useful. Losing his balance just before Obi hit, he was flopped onto the ground with a defiant yell. He would get Obi back somehow, but for now it looked like he was stuck!

So Obi had found his target. His mouth soon clamped on his brothers ear and he chewed it, tugging it a little. He got off his brother a little but kept the ear firmly in his mouth. Tugging it playfully, yes this was worth waking up for!
"Hey!" Sharifu cried when suddenly Obi was attached to his ear, but he very quickly learned that pulling his head away was only going to make it worse. Laughing, he was forced to reposition himself, getting to his feet awkwardly as Obi kept a firm grasp on his ear. It would be very easy for Obi to drag him around, and Sharifu had to find a way to retaliate, to get his ear back. Reaching up with a paw, he tried to get at Obi's face to at least startle him away!

Obi wasn't startled by the paw but more that Sharifu was trying to stand up and it was very hard to hold onto an ear while he was standing up, it made it suddenly very uncomfortable! So.. reluctantly he let go!
After letting go he moved back somewhat trying to get out of pouncing distance of his brother. He wanted to make sure he had the advantage even though he knew he couldn't always get the advantage but he could imagine it!
Sharifu laughed triumphantly when Obi let go of his ear and retreated back. He didn't see the logic in his brother's actions, only that he seemingly had a small victory! Now was his chance to get back at Obi, so he ignored the slight tinge of pain in his ear and jogged forward to try to close the distance between him and Obi before he could get too far away.

Obi decided to run straight at his brother as he ran towards him, he couldn't actually see why though. He just thought it would be funny to run head on towards his brother. Who knows what is going to happen. Maybe if he ran and then pounced? Yes maybe that was a good idea.
So he ran, one, two, three.... jump!
The one thing Sharifu wasn't expecting was for Obi to suddenly run right back at him, he skidded to a stop and ducked down now, covering his head in hopes that Obi would miss him. He couldn't see what was going to happen, but he was ready- and laughing- waiting to see if Obi would get him or miss.

Obi missed, he really missed. He missed and fell on his head, rolling behind his brother. That clearly wasn't the clever thing to do.
"Owwww!" He cried out in pain and then started sulking, okay well he was pretending to sulk so his brother would become so concerned that he would walk over and then Obi would really be able to pounce him!
Sharifu lifted a paw curiously when he heard his brother land- and immediately he grinned. Success! He'd evaded an attack that time- or so he'd thought, until Obi suddenly started to whine. Something had obviously gone wrong, by avoiding Obi's pounce it seemed Sharifu had let his brother get hurt. With a gasp he got to his feet and circled around to see if Obi was really badly hurt, "Obi, what haaappened?" What a damper on the fun.

Obi waited till Sharifu was getting closer and then smiled as he pounced. There, he would win now!
That was without doubt the best idea in the whole entire world!
"Hey!" Sharifu cried when he realized that Obi was smiling, but he was too late to defend himself as his brother very suddenly pounced. Knocked backwards, he stared at his brother with wide purple eyes- completely caught off guard by the trick, "That's not fair! You weren't really hurt!" He was stunned by the tactic, for the moment not fighting back. Obi was a very tricky opponent, Sharifu wasn't sure he could think of something that clever to do!

Obi chuckled.
"Now declare me a winner brother and all will be well!" He chuckled somewhat and got off his brother. That was worth being woken up for, just to prove he was without doubt the cleverest one out of them both!
Sharifu stuck his tongue out at the demand to declare Obi the winner, because he knew it looked like he really had won this time! He rolled over and got to his feet, panting from all of the excitement, "Fine, you win this time! But I bet I can get you next time!"

Obi smiled happily and proud. Oh yes he was without doubt the winner and it made him as proud as anyone could possibly be.
"Yes till next time my dear brother." He laughed somewhat and smiled. "Come on lets go find mum!"
Sharifu snickered at the way Obi agreed with him, happy that they at least had some fun, "That was better than sleeping, right?" He hopped over and nudged his brother cheerfully, "Ok! Let's tell her about our game, I bet she'll want to hear all about it."
