A popular spot for the cold-blooded Perrins, Situla Cove is a cozy spot tucked away in the eastern side of the main island. The sun shines down and heats the rocks day in and day out, and some swear that those rocks never lose their heat. The temperature ranges from the 70s to the mid-80s (F) and only dips to 60 at night.

The beach was always a lovely place to go, and this paraticular cove was one of Rahim's favorites. The sun was always shining, and the breeze was a happy tickle that cooled his back when it was particularly hot. This day was one of those days, and his back almost couldn't stand it. His scales, on the other end, loved the heat. He stretched out his body into a straight line, resting belly-down on a warm rock that missed most of the sun's wrath by being in the shade. He sighed happily as his coils tingled with the heat, "Ahh this feels SO good.." He purred happily and rested his head down on his arms, closing his eyes for a little snooze. It had been another long night in his leader's bedroom, and as usual the dragon didn't know his own strength. His back was marked with kisses and bruises, but the sun always soothed away any lingering pain...although sometimes it tried to add a little burn of its own. "I'm glad I found a bit of shade, that sun'd kill me if I wasn't a naga. Hmm, I wonder why it's so hot? It's not even the right season for it."

Rahim propped himself up on his arms and looked out across the cove, mesmerized by the rolling waves that kept crashing down. The sound was hypnotic and he felt himself losing his senses and zoning out. His eyelids started getting heavy, and his breathing slowed to a restful pace. I didn't think I'd crash so soon, ah well, there's no one else here to keep me awake so why try? He yawned lazily and rested his head down once more, running his hand through his long hair to push it out of the way. "Stupid hair, stay back...I don't want to cough up a hairball." He scratched his nose and pushed back his hair for the final time before he finally started his nap. "Mmm...sleep..."

The naga was not the only one who found the beach a pleasant place to spend the afternoon. Kneph skipped nimbly down the rocks and down the slope leading to the beach, a book and napsack in hand. His wings fluttered softly as he made his way down, and he darted to the waters edge when he got to the sand, letting the water wet his feet before backing away, and looking about. He knew the naga had come earlier, and had made a small lunch for the both of them.

He took his time walking down along the sand, loving the feel of the sun on his back and wings. He knew it wouldn't be hard to spot his friend and caretaker, and smiled a little bit when the green scales came into view, heading over to the shady spot Rahim had found.
