She'd grown up rather a lot lately - she'd increased in size tenfold, her footprints in the dirt now being much larger that those that would have been created a few months ago. Puberty was an odd thing, and usually it came with mood swings and raging hormones. But none of that seemed to have hit Azriell, seeing as she hadn't changed a bit. She'd been grumpy, moody and down before, ever since that one day as a cub.

A sigh escaped the adolescent's lips as she padded slowly towards the Prideland borders, tail swishing against the ground, rising the thin sand from the ground before it slowly began to settle again. Haunches lowered as she sat herself down, she stared blankly out towards the Rogue lands and beyond, curious as to what would befall her today. Not much had happened at all in her life so far, and at the rate it was going it didn't seem like anything exciting was going to happen, which lead her to believe that life was pointless. She'd grown up, and she'd grow up more, living a few more years before dying again. Being reincarnated was something Azi wasn't sure she believed or not, but either way, pointless was a key word in these thoughts.

She lowered herself further, so she was lying on her belly, head in her paws as her eyelids drooped shut, the lionness purring softly as she felt the warm sun on her fur, ears keenly listening for that ability she'd been taught long ago. A gentle rhythm soon came to the female as she listened to the land, letting it's own, unique melody wash over her and engulf her. It was nice - but it was also the reason for her current attitude towards life.

Life sucked, in her view. And it wasn't going to get better anytime soon.

"Hakuna -matata, what a wonderful phrase, Hakuna matata, aint no passing crazuh! It means no worries for the rest of your days, ohh it's out problem free, philosophy, hakuna matata!" It had been a whilse since he had wandered over to these lands, but here he ws again, feling for the magical beat that seemed to flow from the flourishing pridelands.

It hadn't occured to him that anything he had said to the cub, the last time he had wandered accross these lands, had done antying to her but brighten her spirits. He sang to make folks happy, it was his greatest joy to see them smile, that was what being a roaming Bard was all about after all!

His tail and paws danced in time to his springy tune as he approached the prideland borders, though he did not spot the older grey and brown female, the same cub he had taught to listen to the land for it's soul music, lay not too far away, but so engrossed was he in his tune he didn't even notice her.

"HAK-OOOOOhhhh-na matata!"

He'd promised he'd still be there when he woke up - and sure, she'd only met him for a few moments. But she was a cub - impressionable. And sure, maybe she'd had a small little crush. Which had just crushed her all the more when she'd woken up to find him gone, and not where he promised to be.

Subconsciously, she found herself humming along to the same tune as Beau, having heard his voice already but not quite recognised it. It didn't take her long, however, green eyes snapping open as she lifted her head, ears twitching as she scanned her surrounding area, soon spotting the orange leopard. Eyes narrowed, checking it was him. Surely it couldn't be?

"Beau?"

She still remembered his name. But she just had to check whether it was him. Because she couldn't embarrass herself, now could she?

His wide orange head turned at the voice which called him, his deep, dark eyes shimmering with the bright sunlight. "Well hello there." He smiled shuffling towards the young female his paws dancing accross the dusty earth, a smile lifting on his pale creamy maw.

"Well, havn't you just shot up since I last saw you?" He raised a brow a song leaping to his lips as usual in most situations.

"it's late int he evning, she's wonderin' what clothes to wear, That beautiful lady, a brushin her long dark hair, and if she asks me, do I look alright, then I'll say yes, you look wonderfull tonight." He sang a small snippet of a song and gave her one of those cheery roguish winks. "You're certainly growing in to that song Azri, hows things?"

It was - it was actually him. he'd only just found his way back here, after only the God's knew how long. As he began to shuffle towards her, Azi instinctively scrambled to her feet, moving backwards, away from the male, tail almost between her legs. She'd become a much more solitary creature - contact with other cats had been something she'd become deprived of.

Shot up? Well, yeah. because he'd left. If he'd stayed, like he'd promised he would, things might've turned out differently. She wasn't sure how, at all, but you never knew. And then he began to sing - that voice that had been so vivid and clear in her mind ever since. She'd never forgotten him, or his singing, or his lesson. Never once. But apparently she'd grown into a song - he was saying she looked wonderful. Blinking back some strange watery-substance that rose to her eyes, a snarl began to form on her mouth, teeth slightly visible.

"You left!" came the accusing voice, edged with anger, depression and that stubborn streak that had never really left, "You promised you'd stay, and you left!"

Beau raised a curious brow at the young female, his dark eyes watching her for a long moment before he spoke. "Azri,I'm a wandering bard, a travelling rogue I never stay in one place for very long, theres a million songs to find and tune in to and one place just doesn't make cut it." He licked his pale maw and let a gentle sigh roll over his lips.

"I'm sorry if I promised that, but I really don't remember." He looked at her honestly watching her back away from him. "Come on now, don't be afraid of little ol' me, I'm just a rogue born wild and free, singin' my way around the world, thats my forte', or so I'm told, don't shy away little dove, my paws they lead me back to you now love, stay for a while and sing a wee song, I'm sure you'll find you can sing along." He puurred, his voice as always melodic and calming, he didn't know what he had done to asri, but he wanted to undo it.

Her eyes were still as demanding as ever, flashing an accusing glare towards the leopard. Well, it was all fine if he was a traveling rogue. But then he shouldn't have promised that he'd stay.

"I'm not afraid of you," came the growl a little louder and high-pitched than she'd intended, the female's voice close to breaking, though she was beginning to feel the calming effects of the male's song. It was his songs that had gotten her to fall asleep, after all, all that time ago.

"...You promised you'd be there when I woke up. And then when I did you just...weren't there."

Her voice had finally broken, and the anger that had first rushed through her veins had mow melted into just depression, haunches dropping to the ground with a thud as she watched Beau's feet, a tear finally escaping and rolling down her cheek.

Beaus brow crinkled as he tried to remember. His mind rolled back to the song he had sung and his eyes closed. A slight groan rolled fromhis lips. "I remember.." He trailed off padding up to the little female and licking one of her ears tenderly.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to give you the wrong idea. It's just, it's a song my mother used to sing to me to make me sleep." He let out a soft sight and popped her chin up with a gentle paw.

"Don't cry for me, AZiriell, the truth is, I never left you, all through my wild days, my mad exsistance, I kept my promise, don't keep your distance." He puurred lightly. "Don't be sad, thats not what my songs are about, they are supposed to make you happy not upset. Comon' you can sing a song with me now can't you hmm?" He raised a curious brow, that roguish smile reappearing upon his maw.

The groan and admission gave Azriell a little piece of mind - at least she hadn't been being silly and remembering something that had never happened. She wasn't really concentrating, and so didn't notice when he moved - at least not until he licked her ear, causing her to flinch, the ear twitching slightly as she glanced up at him with rather sad eyes.

"...I forgive you." she spoke in a rather small, meek voice. She couldn't stay angry at him. She just...couldn't. Maybe that crush hadn't completely disappeared, as she'd thought. His words did calm her slightly, however, as a weak smile crept up her maw, the lionness unable to really stop herself as she moved forwards, rubbing her head against the side of Beau's before pulling her body down past his as a sign of fondness, tail whipping in the air as she turned back to face him again, head cocked.

"What song?"

Beau smiled his crooked, roguish grin widening as he nipped at her tail in a playful manner. He looked thoughtful for a long moment pulling one of a million songs from the air apparantly, searching for just the right one. " I'v got it, this is a duette, has to be sung by two okay?" He raises a curious brow and clears his throat.

"Daisy, daisy, give me your answer do, I'm half crazy, all for the love of you, it won't be a private marriage, cause I can't affords a carriage, but we'll look sweet, upon the seat of a bicicle made for two, for two on a bicicle made for two whoo!"

He grinned playfully, "now you try it." He smiled his dark eyes dancing playfully. He was glad to see her smile again. Seeing this cheery youngster sad just wans't something he wanted on his concience.

Azi's tail flicked at the n**, brushing across his face a little as she managed a playful grin, already the lionness changing back to her old self. In reality, it had never really been gone - just smothered by the anger and depression of being abandoned. But that wasn't an issue anymore, meaning she could blossom again.

Clearing her throat a little, preparing herself for the song, she wasn't really sure what she had to sing, so mimicked Beau's words, singing in a sweet, harmonious voice.

"Daisy, daisy, give me your answer do, I'm half crazy, all for the love of you, it won't be a private marriage, cause I can't affords a carriage, but we'll look sweet, upon the seat of a bicycle made for two, for two on a bicycle made for two..."

Beau grinned adnd his tail twitched to the beat. "See there you are, now didn't that make you feel better hmm?" He smiled and stretched out his paws a little though his tail never stopped flickering to some random beat.

"Now then, what have you been up to hmm? Besides growing in to your legs?" He raised a curious brow his dark eyes looking her over. She would become a very pretty lioness when she grew up, he could see that clearly enough. After all he was far from blind.

Azriell was grinning - of course she was feeling better. It wasn't just the singing, either. Beau overall just...made her feel happy. Just being there with him. It was an odd feeling - one she hadn't exactly experienced before. She didn't even know what it was. At the question as to what she'd been up to, Azi stretched forwards to straighten her back, claws extending as her mouth stretched open in a yawn, before her maw snapped shut again, the female returning to her previous standing stance.

"Actually not much. I just...didn't feel that anything was worth it." Azi admitted, unable to lie to the leopard, avoiding his gaze now as she watched the floor, almost as if she was embarrassed.

"I've hardly met anyone since you left. It was like...life wasn't worth anything."

Beau watched her quietly for a long moment. he felt sort of speachless. he hadn't meant to do that to the little lioness. Taking a deep breath the adult leopard got to his paws and tapped out a few steps. "You know I think I'll stay for a few days, how bout showing me around hmm? I'm sure we can tap out a few good tunes from this land, it's full of songs"

He smiled and licked her nose lightly. "I'll have to leave again, but I promise I'll come back to see you again, okay?" he smiled roguishly. "For now, how about we go for a wander? I'm sure you'v found a song or two since I was gone without even knowing it hmm?"

Azi watched the ground, feeling his gaze on the back of her neck, a light pink blush rising in her cheeks, visible through her pale grey fur. Ears soon perked up, however, the female looking up with a shocked expression, blinking. had she heard right? He was going to stay here. Blinking again as he licked her nose, wrinkling it a little - though not because she didn't like it - as the cheeky grin crept back, a nod coming.

"R-Really?"

A purr began rising in the lionness' throat, tail wrapping around her hind leg to keep it from flashing everywhere. She smiled sweetly, taking a step closer, nuzzling her nose gently against Beau's as another sign of fondness. "You're a singing nomad - you've got to wander. It's in your nature. But come back, okay? I miss you when you're not here."

The mention of a wander around the Pridelands increased what was currently a smile to a full-out grin, a nod following as Azriell turned, offering to lead the way.

"You were right. There are loads of tunes. My favourite's by the watering hole."
