Name: Uther Imperius
Race: Archangel
Age: Unknown, his body is the same as ever, the first mention of him in the Bible is just after the time of Christ, but whether he was involved in the Jewish Tradition at all is unknown.
Title: High Justicar

Personality: Uther's personality has been shaped over millenniums and he has had much experience honing his skills of persuasion. He is no Wrathful, forcing the will of God on the unbelieving, but his is a quiet presence that demands respect and urges people around him to listen to what he has to say. His official duties send him to the Mortal Realm quite often and while there he takes the opportunity to set individuals on the road to great things, serving the will of God. He knows exactly how to push a person into examining the choices they have made and than offers them the way they can fix things, turning them into, not necessarily faithful, but good, people who work wonders across the world of men. If one stopped to think about it, he was the best kind of confessor, the one who would talk to you as if they had been through everything you had and then offer you some tidbit of advice, trivial, but somehow you are able to change your whole life thanks to it. Some mutter that he robs men of their free will and that if men want to burn, let them, but he doesn't see it that way. No matter the grand things he has accomplished, he remains in the background, proving that the goodness of man will prevail if they are just given a little light in a time of darkness. Historians at the Vatican have tried to trace him through history, but his influences are very subtle and it is hard to tell where he has been in the past or in modern day history. Many, for example, are convinced he was the one that told the Emperor of Japan to surrender at the end of WWII, but he had nothing to do with that. To him, every place where he didn't have to act was a better success than one he did, it proved that man had a sense of morality and that even without influence from above they were capable of making the right choices.

Biography: Uther has been a Justicar for a long time, helping God examine the souls found worthy, but in need of time in Purgatory. It is in a great part his decision on how long a soul spends there before entering into Heaven. While the Church seems absolute in its opinions on sins and their consequences, it was Uther's job to determine how much time a venial sin or a repented mortal sin was really worth in Purgatory and he was often in the Mortal Realm, examining actions, church positions, and human society. As time went on, thousands of years, Uther became increasingly hurt by what he saw, men and women alike turning from God as the most powerful societies on Earth began to fall under the general sway of sin. Places like America, Russia, Germany, major human powers all, were the worst in his eyes. The simpler people retained much more of their faith, even if some of it was to pagan gods.

As another part of his duties, Uther served as a peacemaker, negotiating treaties and settling disputes wherever he went, coming to conclusions that both sides could agree on, going so far as to take human forms himself occasionally to influence things one way or the other. Remember Martin Luther King, Jr? Or Gandhi? It was people like this that Uther talked to while in human form, helping to shape them into forces of unity and justice across the world. These excursions were the real reason he felt his duty was worth something, not the measuring of sin, but the ability to impact mortals and the way they ran their world.

So it happened that he was not in Heaven the day it was struck by the forces of Hell. This didn't let him escape the screams, he heard the cries of his brethren through the fabric of reality itself as it came to him on the Mortal Realm. The screams were nothing compared to what came next though, and the mere sound of it forced him to his knees, even as a human. Laughter, insane laughter forced its way into his head and in that laughter he could hear promises, promises of evil and corruption, of madness and destruction. As the laughter rang in his ears he felt the loss of power, he searched wildly for the holy power that was always his, but the only thing he could find was the black power of Hell. Withdrawing immediately, he managed to save himself from being tainted, but without his powers he was trapped in the mortal shell he inhabited currently, a childhood friend to a man who was currently running for president. In a sense, he could do what he had always done, influencing Mortals as best he could, but in reality he was powerless. Without the support of Heaven, everything would fail, it was only a matter of time.

Trapped in a mortal shell, Uther knew he had planning to do if there was any chance of saving the world. He reached out with the power he could call his own, calling the other escaped and uncorrupted Justicars to him. It might take them days to get to him by mortal means, but get to him they would. If only that was the hard part, he thought hopelessly, knowing that once his handful were gathered they would have to find someway to regain their sacred homeland, all without becoming demons themselves.

Name: Bakaras Savannah, his mother used the affectionate "Baki" and the nickname stuck, much to his embarrassment.
Age: Seventeen
Race: Leopard
Position: Léopardé Lionne (A Rampant)

Personality: Bakaras has the determined, loner attitude of an outcast. He was never part of the group during his young age, and due to his illness, it seemed like he was thrust right into the world of hunting and competition, missing the childhood experiences that would help him develop a bond with his packmates. The way it flows through his blood is quite evident, and perhaps his biggest failing as a pack hunter is his tendency to use his superior speed to race ahead of the pack, eager to draw the first blood and prove himself to the others, wanting to tackle any prey he can, no matter the size. He is admonished regularly for his eagerness to take first crack at the prey, which he takes with a guilty nod. Of late, he has been trying to curb these events, but the hunt flows strong in his blood. He isn't suicidal however and even if he is the first to bite into a large animal you can bet that he won't let the others fall too far behind. His superior speed is quite useful when hunting packs of herd creatures. A common tactic that suits his loner mentality is to have him go around the front of the herd, leaping into them from the front so that they scatter in all directions, leaving all the pack members, who have been spreading themselves around the area, free to pick off many animals.

When not on the hunt, the word is ice. His cooler side prevails and he doesn't let his accomplishments get to his head. He can be cold to others, especially those that still doubt him, but among his friends, which are essentially limited to his packmates, he often smiles and makes cracks about stupid mistakes he and others made on the hunt. Hearing him laugh is a rare sound, but it isn't unheard of for him to crack up when his pack tries to seriously give him advice that, if followed, would end with him flat on his back or in even more hilarious positions. When his family is mentioned, Bakaras immediately becomes closed and defensive, half expecting insults, even from his friends. Whenever they talk about his father he listens with the utmost intensity and you can see the desire to be just like his dad burning in his eyes. He believes he owes all of his grand success to his father, who lost honor taking time away from his own hunts to train his son. While he has certainly noticed all the attention he has garnered, his biggest goal is to redeem the family name which suffered greatly while his parents were forced to take care of him.

Biography: As one of the youngest hunters allowed to go on hunting trips with the Prime Pack, Bakaras feels as if he has something to prove, and he does. As a young cub, it was feared that he would not survive, so sickly he was when he was born. He was cared for day and night by his mother, who shirked many responsibilities to make sure her son would stay stable and relatively healthy. As he matured, he was always behind the other cubs, his illness dragging him down as the others sprang ahead of him in way of progress. No one expected much of him, and it was hard for his parents not to feel ashamed of the weak child they had brought into the world. His mother was often found cooing the name 'Baki' to him as she tended him and the leopards used the name as a mark of shame to taunt him with whenever he failed, which was quite often.

When Bakaras hit puberty, it seemed that he was finally shedding his weakness, his tired eyes were beginning to brighten and his coat shined with a vigor no one had seen before. Unfortunately, he had lots of lost ground to make up for the years he had been ill and was still the butt of many jokes, though he was improving and he no longer looked like he had just been dragged through the mud the night before. His father now took time away from his duties, decreasing the honor of the family name to make sure his son caught up to others his age. His father was a very good hunter and his skills were respected by all; he taught his son everything he knew over a few short years, taking much time during the day and night to spend with his son. Perhaps it was this that led to him being too slow one day, too slow to leap out of the way of a group of hyenas the pack had been stalking. Three of them fell upon Bakaras' father and tore his throat out before the others could leap on them. When Bakaras found out he was heart broken, swearing that he would no longer allow himself to be last all the time, that he would be a good enough hunter to honor his father's name.

Still too young to go out with a real pack, Bakaras threw himself into a harsh training regimen, foolishly leaving the safety of the pack at night to stalk other animals. His stalking skills were spectacular, he was sleeker than other leopards, just as long, but not quite so big as the other cats and the bursts of speed he was able to put on were enough to shame even the fastest gazelle. He secretly began to bring back meat to his mother, who looked at him in wonder and asked how he was able to bring back so much every day. He just shook his head at her and said nothing, laying down to sleep the morning away so he would be ready for the next day's duties. When the day of trials came, Bakaras had been honing his own skills away from the group for over a year and he was more than ready to take his place among the pack. The trials, a series of tests involving agility, speed, wit, and sometimes pure brawn, were designed to separate those who were fated to hunt only with others and those who were smart and quick enough to hunt on their own as well as with the pack. When Bakaras volunteered to be the first one to go, the others his age snickered, expecting the starting record to be a poor and easily beaten one. By the end of the day, no one was snickering and the first score still held the place as best in pack, a very rare event indeed. Despite his relative youth, Bakaras' speed and self-discipline have earned him a spot in the prime hunting pack, an honor accorded to very few under the age of twenty. No matter what pack he has been accepted into, there are many who still sneer at his skills and the name of his father, though they have certainly lessened since Bakaras nearly slew the last leopard who insulted his father within his earshot.

As a reluctantly accepted prodigy, Bakaras is still trying to find where he stands in the pack. He knows that his ever present determination has drawn the eyes of many, including some of the higher ups in the pack. He also knows that he is far from his peak, still needing much training in the arts of pack hunting and leadership skills, which he has few to speak of. With his former classmates unwilling to deal with him, he has once again thrust into a group some say is "too old" for him, denying him the joys and experiences of being young and forcing him to act above his age. Despite the realities such as his father's untimely death, Bakaras feels he has many years ahead of him to enjoy life and has so far remained aloof from many of the leopards his age who would love to stalk him as a mate. The whispers are that he is still too young emotionally to feel for females and while that is untrue, Bakaras doesn't deign to deal with the rumors, instead focusing on securing his own position within the group, intent on proving all those who doubted him wrong.
