((This rp is between NinetailedNightmare and Yayoi unless one or the other invites you in))  He had stumbled across a natural treasure- a cornucopia of beauty! Lush, tall grass as far as he could see. No doubt this untamed meadow had been nurtured within the valley by the occasional rain, growing with just the right amount of sunlight. And with spring, everything was in bloom or at least beginning to peek out of their winter-hardened barriers. It was truly a magnificent sight.
Even though he had seen it early that morning, the poet was only now beginning to become level with the wilderness. It was somewhat a precarious journey down into the valley, or at least he was more cautious than he should be. The unicorn was hardy, though, and patient to boot. When he could afford it, a tune drifted free of his lips until the next unstable surface caused him to focus on a troublesome reality. Now that he was on firm ground again, however, a deep hum reverberated from the unicorn, pure and unsuspecting as he strode quickly towards what was part of lunch. Shivering comfortably as the grass began to tickle his haunches, he began to look for a particularly scrumptious looking clump, leaning towards what looked to be a buttercup with rapturous thought of rolling the soft petals along his tongue.

The warm days of spring had long since come and chased away the bitter cold of winter. Although the little flutter had barely caught the tail end of it upon her birth, she could only imagine what the full, brute force the icy weather could cause. And in that thought she was glad she had been born so late into it.
But it would come again, though not for a while.
Since she had grown, Olivia had spent much time away from her family. Though still the bonds between her and her mother were still strong. She had the need to roam. Although, truthfully. She hadn't roamed very far. Well, perhaps by some Soquili's standards. The female tended to keep to the tall grassy fields that were speckled with flowers with the coming spring. Some blossoms too new and fragile to laze upon.
Though this particular group of flowers seemed healthy enough. And sure enough during the night she had taken up a refuge amongst their petals. Curling her small form inside as the closed for the night. Slumbering peacefully.
Suddenly awoken by soft hoof beats and warm breath that berated her from within her strong hold, her head popped out from between the folded petals only to come face to face with a giant mouth!
"W-w-wait!" She squeaked, her wings fluttering quickly before scrambling out from inside the flower. Zipping back and forth in the air, her long blue mane and tail flowing behind her. She had nearly been eaten!
Guess flowers weren't that safe of a place to sleep after all.

One could imagine how surprised he was when his food actually SPOKE to him. Rearing his head with his obvious shock, Teagan stared down at the flower with his lilac-tinted mouth still agape, as if still prepared to eat. This snapped shut with a soft clack after a moment, though concern for almost eating a talking flower was still scribbled across his features.
"Flower, Oh!
Forgive me, please
I did not know!"
He gasped, about to nuzzle the poor buttercup before he noticed the flitting streak of blue just through his braided mane. He paused, staring at her for a moment, before things began to make sense.
"Was it you, dear mare,
That was wrapped within the flower's care?
I did not fathom
Such a lovely thing
Would hide a more precious
lady on gossamer wing
Did I hurt you?"

Still a bit traumatized from almost being eaten, Olivia puffed out her cheeks before letting a slow, calming breath pass through her lips.
She watched momentarily, buzzing around. Her multi-colored wings fluttering in the breeze. Was he talking to the flower? Did he not see her? It was a constant issue that Olivia fought with. The bigger Soquili rarely ever noticed her in her smaller form. Many times she could of sworn for certain that she had come close to death. Either by being trampled or squished in some horrible manner. But now. Now she had almost been eaten.
Well, the flutter supposed that could be another thing added to the list.
The way he spoke was rather...odd to her. Though it was rather interesting in the same aspect. Flaring out her wings, she glided in a downward spiral before landing softly on the tip of his nose. Brown eyes peering at him cautiously for a moment. "No, but you did almost eat me." Her eyes grew large as if she were about to cry.
"You should be more careful! Never know who might be sleeping in what you might consider food." Of course, it could also be partially her fault as well. No one would really think about someone sleeping inside a flower. Of course, that would also be their fault as well for not thinking about it. But she wouldn't admit her own fault. Sleeping in flowers was normal for her at this size.

Though I cannot guess
How well you might taste!"
He attempted lamely, looking more than a little sheepish as his ears drooped ever so slightly. His bright golden eyes unconsciously crossed themselves to look down at her, frown deepening upon his muzzle at the expression there. Oh, she would make him cry too if she kept it up! She was so tiny, like his own mother, and his thoughts drifted to her now. What if it had been his mother he had almost eaten?! Teagan gave a great sniff, trying to hold back any torrent of tears that was about to come on by holding his breath for a moment.
"Is there naught that I can do for you to forgive me?"

Raising an eyebrow, Olivia gave him the most puzzling of looks. Was he...about to cry?
As he sniffed she fluttered upwards just a bit before landing on his nose once more. Wings twitching before the folded up against one another. Closing her eyes for a moment, she let out another soft sigh. An awkward smile appearing on her lips.
She had never seen a stallion come so close to tears. Certainly her own father and brother had never cried in front of her. So she just wasn't quite all that used to it, nor did she know how to handle it either. "Now now, don't cry. It'll be ok. I'm alright, you didn't eat me thankfully."
Her tail gave a long, drawn out flick behind her as she opened one eye. "Besides, I'm too fast for anyone to catch to even try and eat." Olivia puffed out her little chest proudly. Hey, if she could best her siblings she could best anyone else right?
