Alana decided today was going to be a peaceful day. She would lay upon a branch and sleep the day away. After all every girl needed her day of beauty sleep didn't she? Alana deserrved it after all, she was a happy thing but a busy thing, always looking for someone that maybe mate material for Hera and when she wasn't doing that she was looking to see if Heu was about. She was a busy little bee!
She deserved some rest and so she had stretched her long slender white body out along the branch and her blue eyes were closed as she let herself drift in and out of conciousness. It was so peaceful...

 If it had been peaceful for Alana, it wouldn't be for long.
Tearing headlong through the undergrowth as if he was on fire, Takilifu laughed like a madman as he put more and more distance from the water-buffalo he'd just frightened half to death. From the sounds of things, they'd stopped following and so Takilifu slowed down, bursting from the foliage into a small clearing, cakcling and laughing giddily.
Above was Alana.

Alana open her eyes suddenly, what was that noise? She wasn't really with it when she first opened her eyes, it took a while for her to remember where it was that she was.
Then she saw the male below laughing. Now if it wasn't for the fact that his looks had her stunned for a while she would have probably instantly shouted at him but she had never seen anyone like him. So while he stood laughing she took the time to look him over, after all she had the best view!
However his laughing was getting on her nerves and it doesn't take forever to look someone up and down.
"OI!" She wasn't going to be polite, well she would be but not to start with. She wanted to get his attention and by the way he was laughing, being polite wouldn't be the way to get his attention.

Taki practically snorted as his attention was suddenly brought to what he thought was an angel at first. Who could blame him though? A white figure in the branches above him. He squinted at her, to make sure what he was seeing was actually real.
And then he realised that an angel wouldn't say 'oi.'
"What?" he asked her bluntly, sneering a little. "Don't appreciate laughter?"

"Laughter? Oh laughter is good, it's just that noise, I don't know what one would call it." She smirked. She could be sarcastic every now and then. She could have some fun every now and then!
She jumped down and stared at him and laughed a little. "laughter is fine when it isn't trying to bring down the whole jungle. It sounded like a herd of angry elephants!" She smirked a little, though it wasn't really a smirk either more just a sly smile but she felt a little cheeky and she could get away with it, after all she looked like an angel!

Taki looked a little insulted and pouted like a young cub.
"I don't sound like a heard of elephants...besides, those who laugh loudest, laugh longest," he said with a smidge of pride, feeling the saying summed up his sentiments exactly.
He was the last to admit this about girls, but she was quite pretty and a joy to watch. Like liquid light. He couldn't recall ever seeing any creature that bright before, let alone a leopard. He was truly fascinated.
"And whats wrong with spreading the laughter? So what if others here? It might just bring more company like yours."
Was he...flirting?

Alana listened and laughed though her laugh was quiet, she was just trying to prove a point in a way that you don't actually have to laugh loudly!
"Company that shouts at you and tells you that your making too much noise? That just sounds like the best company ever!" She was being sarcastic and couldn't help but laugh the whole time she was talking. She just found the idea rather amusing.
She moved a little closer to him, checking him out somewhat. She didn't get too close though, she would rather not risk giving him any strange ideas. "You could always learn to laugh a little quieter. You can still laugh for a long time quietly!"

"Yeaaahh..." he reached a paw up to scratch his chin with his claws. "Laughing quietly isn't as much fun though. Its like the difference between running and walking. Running is so much more fun!"
And then rather spontaneously, he just got up from his sprawled belly-laugh position and leaped OVER Alana! He misjudged it a teeny bit and his tail whacked her on the side, but he landed rather well and looked over his shoulder at her.

Alana was about to say something in reply as he jumped,
"You need to practice your jumping. Honestly hitting me with that tail of yours!" Maybe she just felt like showing off a little but she tensed her back legs and leaped over the male perfectly, landing softly on the other side.
She turned to face him again a large proud smile on her face.
"It's not hard!"

And so began an epic battle of leap-frog! He glared at her a little, determined now to prove to her that he was as accomplished as she at jumping. Of course, Taki was the kind to run head-first into any situation and this was no different.
"Oh yeah. I'll bet I can leap over that branch better than you," he challenged, inclining his head at a low-slung branch of the tree Alana was just in. It was taller than both of them, and perfect for this reverse-limbo game.
He trotted to line up with the branch and gave himself plenty of room to run towards it. He stretched his legs. Flexed his paws...
He was off! He ran. He leaped.
SMACK!
He misjudged it and landed belly-first onto the branch.
"Urrrrrgh!" he groaned and flailed his limbs.

Alana laughed at him.
"I think you misjudge yourself." She found this male to be hilarious!
She soon jumped up after him and sat on a branch above him looking down at him.
"Maybe you should practice before you go around showing off to girls? I mean one day you might get badly hurt and then you wouldn't ever be able to show off again!" She laughed again, it was all too easy to tease this male, he was so funny.

Taki just scowled and then stuck out his tongue to Alana. At this point, he didn't care if she was an angel and he was incurring her wrath - this was embarrassing and he had his pride to think about! Although he'd never admit he had no friends to actually show-off or gloat to.
He wriggled and flailed a little longer, trying to dislodge himself from the branch, eventually sinking his claws into the bark and hoisting up his back-end until he was perched precariously on the branch.
"I'll live to jump another day," he sort of grumbled.

Alana chuckled.
"I'm sure you will!"
She laid herself out across her branch and smiled down at him as he hoisted himself up and sorted himself out. Oh he was a funny thing that was for sure. She did love to watch males show off, it was always far too funny to put into words!

Taki continued to wobble, desperately trying to keep hold of the branch whilst maintaining some kind of masculine dignity. He was a weird one for travelling through the trees - he was practically unmatched in his speed and agility, but when he had to balance and stay still...well, it was painfully obvious that he wasn't good at it.
He took a moment to briefly glance upwards at his pale tormentor. What was it about her? Normally, Taki would have wandered off by now, but something kept him in her company. Perhaps it was because he was desperate to actually prove he was good at something. He hated to leave a score unsettled.
Taki began to walk along the branch towards the thicker trunk...but he felt the weight begin to give way.
Crreeeee......CRACK!
He scrambled to latch his claws onto the stable trunk, his back end flailing to do the same as the branch fell.
"You're...bad luck!...Thats what you are...!" he said amidst gasps.

Alana laughed, she couldn't help but find this all hilarious!
"Oh dear, too heavy are we? Maybe you should loose some weight!" She chuckled, while laying comfortably on her branch. "I mean my branch is fine!" She couldn't help but find this amusing, after all he seemed like such a show off and wasn't really showing off much at the moment.
So funny!
