It's sad that it has to come to this...

It's a really sad thing... 4 of my friends learn there, and gladly, they were safe. Is wrecked the happiness of Shabat and Rosh Hodesh Adar...

I'm glad they're okay; I just wish they didn't have to deal with that. There's so much hate in the world- I just want to know what can honestly/logically be done to stop it.

Not as a whole, anyway. The only thing we can do is pray for it, or maybe hope for some mass awakening...

I go with the prayer thing, and I am in the process of some other things that may well start to make things better.

To stop the madness would be to completely change some people's way of life. All this retribution is getting on my nerves. That's not what we need, and yet, it's what some people live for.

Here is a quote I like that basically describes why the never ending war wont end: "If Palestinians lay down their arms, there will be no more bloodshed. If Israelis lay down THEIR arms, there will be no more Israel. This, a blind man can see..." Palestinians just refuse to lay down their arms, but what I hate even more is that when you watch the American news it is so biased as if everything is Israel's fault.

Maybe it's just the media around here, which it very well could be, but I've always seen them acting as if Israel can do no wrong. When the border breech happened in Egypt, that was Palestinian radicals. It was hardly mentioned that the reason they felt the need to break down that wall was because they didn't have power, food, or water in Gaza...
Israel is a family, not a country. But really I don't want to start that argument.

But I agree, Israel is like one big family.

I know the American media can really trash things up. I like BBC, and every once in awhile I'll check Al Jazeera.

It's important to realize that this isn't just Palestine's fault. Keep in mind that they're being pushed by Iran and Syria, via Hezbollah largely. Keep in mind that for your average Gazan man, there's no job to work except for Hamas. When you have no way to feed your family save through taking up arms, that's not much choice at all. Israel is at fault for preserving these situations instead of going in and just building civilian infrastructure. Palestine is at fault for not demanding more from their so called government.
The people behind this attack are pushing the cycle further, and are neither a friend of Israel nor of Palestine.
I certainly grieve for the victims of this attack, but we cannot allow ourselves to turn to the blame game, as that will only fulfill the goals of keeping hatred alive.
