I just want to know if anyone else that goes to Band Camp, have an Stupid Guy with a block that make a loud noise that make everyone Mad? (The block I think is an percussion tool)

[ ] Oh, the gock block? The drum majors and the band director are the only ones that get to use it in my band. I don't really mind it, since I've dealt with worse. The speaker attached to the doctor beat was a few feet behind me one time and it gave me a monster headache. []

Hey, that gock block's better than Dr. Beat cranked up full blast over the Long Ranger. stare
We don't use Dr. Beat full blast very much anymore because the people in the apartment complex behind our practice field called the cops on us once because of the noise. xd Nowadays we use the gock block for stretches and Dr. Beat (slightly below full volume) for drill.

Yes, we do. It's used by our junior drum major, if they're there. It really hurts your ears, if you're at the right angle to it. It doesn't hurt if you're the one beating it though, so long as you hold it right.

We've got two obnoxious wooden rods that our drum major bands. They've got an intensely sharp, piercing sound. =____= But I guess the point is so that you can hear the beat over the music.
It's still painful, sitting up front right next to them.
But ... what is this Dr. Beat everyone seems to talk about?

Niada But ... what is this Dr. Beat everyone seems to talk about? Dr. Beat is...well, an electronic metronome, hooked up to a loudspeaker. You think those wooden rods and gock blocks are annoying...ohhh, you have not experienced the metronomic incarnation of the Devil known as "Dr. Beat." burning_eyes

Our director accidentally pushed a wrong button and it started counting in a high-pitched girly voice.

This will be my first year going to bandcamp. Im so freaking scared. My friends in Highschool say there will be some major hazing the 1st few days. But other than that, it seems exciting! 3nodding
