This is for Rynn/Aria and Tera/Maq only. Feel free to read however!
Aria was on her way to the shop, shivering from the cold. The wind was howling, snow flying around her. Rynn had warned her about going out, but she wanted too. She wanted to get Ian a gift. But what could replace the gemstone?
She narrowed her eyes to try and see. With all the blowing snow, she was losing her way. Her coat helped some against the cold, but it wasn't enough. Maybe she could walk? As soon as she landed, however, she yelped. Snow was much colder on her bare feet than blowing against the cloth! Taking back to the air, she tried carrying onward.
The wind howled suddenly, blowing her off course, and into a small snowdrift. Aria was stunned and sat up, shivering. Maybe she out to go home.

Maq couldn't believe how quickly the weather had gone over. He'd told Sin to head back a while ago, but had continued on himself, using his magic and the warmth of his physical activity to keep him from getting too cold in the weather. He still needed to get that gift for Tahki, after all, and he wanted to do a bit of thinking while he was at it. Jogging in a snowstorm, though... He might have to find somewhere to hole up in to wait for it to pass.
As he rounded the bend, legs pumping, he thought he saw a flash of blue disappear into a pile of snow on the side of the road. Curious, he veered towards it, eyes narrowing against the bite of the wind. Aria? What the hell? As the female emerged from the drift, eyes wide and body trembling, he used his magic to fly towards her. "Blue Eyes? What are you doing out in this?"

Aria flashed Maq a grin, shaking snow off her coat.Brr.......it was freezing. "I could ask the same of you!" she said. Her hair was wet, dripping down under the collar of the coat. That made her shiver more. Gods, she wanted to be somewhere warm!
"I wanted to get Ian a gift, to maybe get his mind of losing Celaien's gemstone." She smirked, her blue eyes locked onto his. "What brings you out on this weather?"

"At the risk of sounding like a copycat, I'm getting a gift too." He reached out and grasped her hair, twisting it slightly to release some of the water there. With a grin, he shrugged. "Weather doesn't bother me too much, anyhow. Good for jogging."
He could see that she was still shivering, so after releasing her hair, he left his hand at the nape of her neck. It was hard to tell which droplets on his skin were from the snow, and which were from the sweat of his recent jog.

Aria leaned into him, smiling. She was surprised he was without a coat, but then aggain he was a heat feien. It shouldn't bother him at that much. Jogging eh?
"Heh, well, I was going to go into the shop and see what I could find. I dunno if I could find anything that would make him as happy as that gemstone. Maybe he'd like mine?" she asked, looking to him.
She slid one arm around his waist, sure he wouldn't mind.

It didn't look like he minded in the least, his grin broadening at the sensation of her arm slipping around his waist. Standing still, however, with the wind and the snow around them, was starting to get a bit uncomfortable. His first thought was to find a nice place to tuck their two forms into. His second... Well, it sounded like she might need an ear to talk to at the moment, rather than one to nibble on. Besides, that could always come after.
Nodding as he listened to her talking about Ian, he thought for a moment. "Maybe we can find somewhere to hash some ideas out. I thought I saw a tree hollow a few yards back, if you don't mind flying through this a little bit more..." His other arm made an expansive gesture, indicating the wind that was still picking up around them.

"I don't mind. The wind is getting into this coat." Actually thoughts of being alone with Maq was making her blush, but the bitting cold hid that. She was sure she was pink all over anyway!
She shivered, looking up at him. "Lead the way. I'll hang onto you so not to get blown away again!" Sitting in a tree hollow with Maq...hmm...well, now wasn't the time for that. That could come later. Besides, she really did want to ease Ian's pain with some sort of gift, something maybe Cel himself would have chosen. Maq would be a good help in helping her decide.

Lead the way he did, dropping his hand away from the back of her neck so that he could take her hand in his. Maq lifted himself into the air, angling his body so that she could follow behind him in the break he caused in the wind. He flew as directly as he could, back towards the tree he had seen.

Aria followed, glad his body was acting as a shield for her. Once at the tree, she peeked in, then slid her body inside. It wasn't warm at all, but it did block the wind and snow. She moved back, to allow him entrance. "It'll do. Nice and cozy." There was a hint of lust there in her voice. Oh yes, she enjoyed being with Maq. And the way he smiled when he saw her, he liked being with her.
Was he just a fling? Well, perhaps, but it wasn't like that, just a simple fling. She honestly liked him. And she did enjoy her time with him. But he didn't consume her thoughts like Cel had with Ian. Aria knew she liked seeing Maq every chance she got, but when she couldn't, she didn't pine for him, She knew he was busy with his own life.
Shaking her head slightly, she chased all those thoughts away. "Come on in."

Shaking the snow and water off his wings, Maq did come in. Ah, yes, this was much better than being outside. He stepped across the hollow, to Aria's side, before reaching out to begin to unfasten her coat. The blasted thing was wet, after all. And it's a shame to hide that body.
"So, I believe you were saying something about possible presents?"

Aria shrugged out of her coat after Maq unbuttoned it. She smiled softly. The coat was wet and getting heavy. Maybe it'd dry out some while they spoke.
She leaned up against the wall of the tree, smiling. "Well, I was thinking, what would make Ianios as happy as having Celaien's gemstone? So far, nothing much at all comes to mind." She sighed, glancing down to her feet. "I know how bad he wanted it. He adored Cel...but really, there is nothing that can replace him."
She looked up at Maq, nearly in tears. "Maq, he asked me to breed. I think he wants too only because he can't with Cel. But it'll give me what I want, but I don't want him to do what he doesn't really want too."

And there we go. Maq knew he was a sucker for a woman in tears, provided those tears were real, of course. Letting her coat fall to the side, he slid an arm around her shoulders and drew her close. "I'm sure he wouldn't have asked if he didn't really want to, Blue Eyes." He smoothed a hand over her hair comfortingly. In a way, he was relieved at this turn of events; though the topic of breeding had not come up between him and Aria before, he had a feeling it was lurking there somewhere. What was it about Feien that made them focus on breeding so intently? Probably something to keep the race going... Powers knew that he could care less.
Grinning crookedly to hide his deeper thoughts, he joked, "Hell, there are worse Feien to breed with, right?" The recollection of Quantel, and her insidious offer, floated to the surface of his mind before he shoved it back down. "It sounds like a pretty decent Christmas gift to me."

Aria nodded at his comment. There were worse ones to breed with. At least Ian actually cared for her. They did have their differences at times, but she loved him and he loved her. It wasn't like Corvus had asked her, she thought. She had met him once and he seemed all stuck up. Well, he was the summoner though, so he did have a reason for that. But she knew she wanted someone who'd be around. And since she and Ian lived in the same house, he'd naturally be there.
She looked up at Maq, rubbing her eyes. She wasn't sure what his feelings were on breeding, but she sorta figured he wasn't the one who would breed unless he was the last feien on earth. Besides, it might be too weird if they bred then the child came out a lot like him. She liked their snugs and all.
"Alright, I'll tell him I honestly want too. It might cheer him up." She gave him a hug, the sparkle in her eyes back. "Want to wait out the snowstorm in here? We could pass the time in a most peasurable way..."

Now this was much better. Cheery Aria beat out Teary Aria any day. Maq raised his eyebrow at her thoughtfully. "Why, Aria! I do believe you are coming on to me..." His voice dropped down to a low rumble at the end of his sentence.

The water feien smirked, standing in her tiptoes to kiss him. She looked up at him, the smirk still on her face. "Yes Maq, I am coming onto you..." she replied, tiliting her head to the side, her voice going to a husky whisper. "And I do believe you're enjoying it."
Her arms went around his waist, holding him to her. Her hands rubbed between his wings, knowing that was a good spot.
