Anyone have a favorite recipe to share?

I am always looking for new things to cook that are either cheap or easy or both. Crockpot recipes would be great!! Fish recipes seem appropriate, lol, anything....

LOL i'm so sorry i forgot okay i'll tell you.
for one it depends on how much you want to cook and how big your roaster is remember this is just how much i put in it
For a 5lbs roast and a big roaster you'll need these ingredients:
Pork Roast
10 Whole Carrots or 4lbs Baby Carrots
3 Large Green Sweet Bell Peppers
1 large Onion
4lbs Potatos (i use idaho potatos)
3 large to medium Garlic Cloves
Parsley Flakes
Italian Seasoning
1 bundle green onion (optional)

put roast in roaster and fill with warm to hot water. make sure the top of the roast is not covered with water you'll need room for the veggies. Pre-heat oven to 350. Cut the potatos into chunks(not little pieces but nice big chunks) and put in around roast then cut the carrots into about quarter inch slices, for baby carrot just toss them in there. Then cut the onion into nice big chunks. Gut the Green sweet bell peppers and cut them into half inch slices long ways and toss them in. Finely chop the garlic cloves and sprinkle them in. then sprinkle in as much or as little italian seasoning and parsley flakes as you desire. if you are adding the green onion cut off the top and bottom then take each peice and put them on top casually or in a pattern. i like to use aluminum foil to place over top of the roast and poke holes in it for ventalation or put a lid on it but make sure it's on so the steam can vent out. now all ovens are different so slow cook the roast for 5 to 6 hours or until it's so tender that when you stick a fork in it it just peals off. and i recommend you turn the roast in the middle of cooking it. and you're done lol

okay there you go i hope it turns out great for you. when i make it it's so tender you can suck it through a straw lol

I'm a little late for St. Patricks day, unless you've delayed it like the pope... but here is a recipe that I love to eat. It's not really easy, cause you get flour everywhere, but it's fun and tasty.

Irish Soda Bread

Makes 6-8 servings
Prep time: ????
Bake time: 35-40 minutes
Oven Temp: 375 degrees F

Ingredients
2 cups unsifted all-purpose flour
1 & 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp shortening or margarine
1 cup buttermilk or sour milk**
2/3 cup raisins, dark or golden, coarsely chopped (optional)
1 tbsp butter or margarine, melted
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
8- or 9- inch round layer-cake pan

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease an 8- or 9- inch round layer-
cake pan.

2. In medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt
and sugar.

3. Add shortening, and cut into flour with two knives or a pastry
blender until shortening is in fine pieces.

4. Make a well in center of flour mixture; pour in buttermilk and add
raisins. Mix lightly.

5. Turn out onto lightly floured board and knead gently a few times.
Shape into a 5-inch round and place in prepared pan.

6. Using a sharp knife or scissors, cut dough crosswise into quarters
about two-thirds of the way through. Brush top surface with melted
butter and sprinkle with remaining tsp sugar mixed with cinnamon.

7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until golden brown. Serve warm with butter
or margarine.

** To sour milk: To 1 tbsp vinegar in measuring cup, add milk to make
1 cup liquid.

i don't use sour milk, i just use buttermilk, and I don't usually include the raisins, but it's good either way.
