Of all the things Owen had ever seen on Gaia none was stranger that what he was currently staring at. The massive structure built entirely of bones towered above him and seemed almost never ending. It was according to the plaque the skeleton of a brontosaurus a creature known as a Dinosaur from Earth. Owen found it impossible that something so big could have lived only on plants, scientists had to be wrong.
As his brown eyes scanned the room the Eden child had to wonder how things so big and powerful could have all died and things so small like regular people had taken over. It just didn't make sense. Perhaps by the time he went through all the " Ages" rooms he'd know what had happened.
Elsewhere in the museum Pash nibbled on a bagel in the foodcourt. He had no particular interest in Dinosaurs and figured he had at least a half hour before Owen got bored of them and moved on to another section. after that Pash would go searching for him. he figured a nine year old boy could be trusted to keep himself safe in a closed enviroment like a museum.

Nahuel became quite familiar with the museum and the path to it from his house over the course of the long winter. The air had been getting a bit warmer lately and he'd finally talked his mom into getting him a bicycle, so he had come alone today. It was different to wander the halls alone without a little sister to watch after, and so he was taking his time to admire the dinosaurs. These were sort of like the things Mom dug up sometimes - fossils. But these were way bigger.
They were like dragons leftover from Gaia's distant past. Except not, because the signs all said they were dinosaurs. Nahuel was oddly awed and calmed by their size - his first experience with feeling insignificant in the larger picture of things. He circled the enclosure slowly, examining them from every angle.

The goal had been to get Mort out of the house for a while. Let him see something, do something. Do anything other than listen to a digitally re-mastered copy of the Beatles White Album over and over again on his Ipod.
So far, so good; she decided as they entered the vast room that housed the dinosaur exhibit, and Mort let out a small gasp. He walked forward slowly, admiring the sheer size of colossal bones. He was trying to wrap his mind around the idea that these things had once been alive.

Alexis was so unimpressed. The paintings had been much more interesting than gigantic monuments to things that hadn't walked the earth for a really long time. At least they looked like people, anyway. This place made him uneasy. But he was still unimpressed! He looked around the room; there was someone else here about his height. So he decided to observe the orange-haired child for a while, only moving when Charity tugged him away from the doors.

Owen developed that tingly feeling at the back of his neck that he also got when encountering bossy girls.. err other Edens. looking about the exhibit he saw no one he knew. truth be told it was hard to see much of anyone what with the giant skeletons towering everywhere. Still he could see through bits of them and no one he saw looked familiar.
Stroking the tip of one of his tri coloured ears Owen proceeded through the exhibit and towards the sound of slowly shifting feet. It didn't take him too long to spot a boy around his age that made the hairs on the back of his neck tingle. Part of him scream ' kin' and part of him wanted to run for some reason. whatever natural instincts were at worked Owen soothed with a calming breath before walking slowly to the feline boy who seemed enthralled by the skeletons.
" Do you know how things so bigs could eat only plants" he asked as he approached. Perhaps the other boy knew the secret for there had to be one. there's weren't enough plants anywhere to feed so many of these dinosaurs.

"Really?" asked Nahuel, looking at the other boy who had just approached. He looked again at the skeletal dinosaur. "No way," he said skeptically. "Only plants?" But how did they get big and strong? Plants didn't make you big and strong - meat did! And those things were huuuuuge! He didn't even know they made animals that big.
"You're sure they didn't eat, like, cavemen and cows and stuff like that?" he asked. He imagined being Fierce Tribal Warrior Nahuel, fighting dinosaurs and mammoths and trying just to survive in the prehistoric world. He'd seen a commercial on TV for a movie like that, but Mom said he was too young to see it. Nahuel sincerely hoped she wouldn't say the same thing about INDIANA JONES. (Which was going to be totally awesome because it was INDIANA JONES and anything with INDIANA JONES was certified 100% cool.)
He studied the dinosaur intently.
"I still think they ate cavemen."

Mort circled the enclosure of the huge plant-eater with a sort of careful reverence. This was a big animal. It had lived a big life a very long time ago, and therefore deserved a great deal of respect in his mind.
He was close enough to the other boys to here one of them ask about the dinosaur snacking on cows and cavemen. Wasn’t this one supposed to only eat plants? He though only the one’s with pointy teeth ate cows.
He wondered closer to the older boys, hoping to learn some more about the massive animal.

The orange-haired boy moved out of his sight. So Alexis followed, leaving Charity near the doors. He didn't know if he was allowed to approach these people or what- normally he stayed close to his mother or to Rowan or maybe Aunt Carlisle, and they arranged for him to meet other children. Or else others approached him. Uneasily, he hovered near the edge of the ropes that kept people from approaching the bone monster.

" That's not fair, cavemen aren't very big, they never had chance, that'd be like us eating ants." Owen disliked this notion greatly. It was simply wrong. Dinosaurs were not allowed to eat cavemen becuase the cavemen had no chance to defend themselves. Still it wasn't like he could change the past or anything.
As other children came closer to the cat boy and himself Owen began to get the kin feeling even stronger, was it possible that they were all Edens? Unwilling to ask just yet he simply smiled and motioned for them to come closer .
" Hi I'm Owen, we're trying to figure out if dinosaurs ate cavemen or if they could really live only plants and be so big.

"I'm telling you, they did!" protested Nahuel, following the rabbit boy. "Like, on TV! In all those shows, when the cavemen hunt the dinosaurs! The dinosaur always turns around an', like, bites their heads off!" Television was, in Nahuel's mind, the ultimate source of all knowledge. Like, if Indiana Jones could swing across a gaping chasm on a vine, then it was definitely possible!
He looked at the two toddlers. "Come on, you guys look smart. Who's right? Dinosaurs ate cavemen, yeah?"

Mort pondered the question seriously. Would dinosaurs have eaten cavemen? They probably didn’t taste very good, and Cavemen didn’t look like they took baths all that often.
“I don’t think. . .” He began slowly. “That they really ate cavemen, for a lot of reasons.”

He frowned. What were they talking about? Alexis had never even heard some of these words before. So he relegated himself to the one motion that always got people to ignore him and let him observe them in peace; He shrugged, mumbled noncommitally, and continued to watch the other three boys.

" Dino never bit the Flintstones" Owen pointed out calmly. He wasn't trying to argue with the older boy but he couldn't help but note that fact.
His eyes slowly slid to the orange hair boy and he just sort of shrugged " Ok, but I don't think it matters anymore becuase there aren't any real dinosaurs alive today to eat anything." At least as far as he knew there wasn't if he saw one perhaps he would ask.
Owen's sensitive hearing picked up a mumble but couldn't make out exactly what was being said and thus he kept his attention between the two talking boys.

"Yeah, but that's a cartoon," said Nahuel, and then decided to forget the argument entirely. He looked up at the huge skeletons. Sometimes, Mom had told him, when they were working on digs, they would find things like this.
"I wonder what happened to em?" he asked. After all, if they were no longer around, something must have gotten rid of them. Otherwise there would still be dinosaurs stomping around and pooping everywhere.

“Maybe something bigger ate them.” Mort pondered out loud. “But where would something that big hide?”
He tired to picture something in the world bigger than the bones in front of him, but found he couldn’t.
