It has been hinted at and rumored for a while, but it has been confirmed that there will in fact BE a Disgaea DS. So woots for everyone owning a DS that missed out on the chances to play the other portable Disgaea. And also for those of us, like me, that own both a PSP and a DS. Project title seems to be DS: Prince. I just hope Nippon Ichi doesn't follow the DS game tradition of naming their game so DS is its initials and make it Disgaea Sagas: Prince of Darkness or something..... Click this

Disgaea for the DS?! Yes! I've been hearing rumors, but I'm glad you found the article that confirms it! 4laugh
It sucked that I didn't have a PSP for AoD, or a PS3 for the upcoming Disgaea 3 game, but I'm glad they are putting it for the DS!
So um, I'm guessing it'll be about Laharl?

I don't know if I'd want it to be about Laharl. Every game with the cast of the original Disgaea in it ((asides from Afternoon of Darkness because it is the same game)) has portrayed them as flat, almost boring characters.
I'd actually hope for it to not focus on Laharl. Of course, having him as a guest appearance won't be turned down. I think I'd want it set ahead a bit and with Laharl's son as the main character..... ((no shot of that happening, though....))

Well if the title has the word "Prince" it could be hints about Laharl because there is no other prince, well, in the Netherworld I mean. Maybe a new story for him? From what I see by the pics, it looks like just a remake for Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. (just came out today) Disgaea PropagandaDo you know if there is any other information that has come out?

my brother has the DS
and let me tell you
i love playing final fantasy christal chronicles
point and click on it
it's so awesome
i use the stylist for everything...
if disgaea were on it, i have a psp so i don't know
but i'd like the experience disgaea with the stylist
of course, i don't know if the DS can handle the graphics
i mean, probably
but will it be same quality?

Well, I have a DS, and let me say this first: Yes, it can support the graphics. If they can play movies/some of the more artistic off-games on the DS, a game based primarily in sprites is going to be easy for the graphics to render.
Regardless, I'm like everyone. Just waiting for it.

Woah, Disgaea: Hour of Darkness didn't have any special graphics.
you could probably get the same quality on the Super Nintendo.

The DS can handle the data, don't worry.
Remember that because the item world is randomly generated, it'll take up a very small portion of the cartridge.
Yeah, it's gonna rock, being able to kill Uber Prinny Baal wherever I want, right?
