I'll kick your a** again worse then before! 'Cause I still HAVE to work on it at dance! We're doing so many pushups to build up muscle and stuff and man some of them burn your arms so much and you have to keep going and going and going. reminds me of cadet days lol

My advice for you..and what you should expect. Deployment very soon. If you think you'll never see Iraq think again. You will be doiong something that less than a third of the United States population will do. You will work many long hours with little sleep. You will eat garbage for breakfast lunch and dinner. You will sleep in the cold and heat. Nobody gives a s**t about you except the guys to your left and your right. Take care of them and they take care of you. Care for your rifle like your life depends on it. In Iraq your life rides on that Rifle. If you fail to clean it you are forfeiting your life if the time comes when you need to fire. When it comes down to it, if you are given the option to either take a shower or clean your rifle..its ok to stink as long as your alive. These arent words from a wanna be. I have been to Iraq and i have fired my rifle, i offer this advice to you in the hopes that one day if we are ever side by side in a fight. Im not going home wearing the American flag. Take it as you will

Basic Training isn't difficult. I went to Fort Sill(y), and if you go there, say hi to the DS's there, as I'm sure they'd remember me and I went there recently.
As for Basic Training, it will be easier if you prepare yourself physically now. There's going to be alot of pushups involved, yes. But alot of running as well. The military truely stresses physical fitness.
As for actual Basic Training, your RSP unit should help you prepare. Alot of it is going to suck. The thing that sucked for me was lack of communication with home. But you're kept busy, and the time really does fly. Not while you're in it, but two days after graduation you'll be like, "Hmmm...that doesn't seem like it took very long."
BCT is something to look forward to, not fear.
