Mawi looked back at the lands where her pride was as she wandered into the rouge lands. He sister and mother already left the borders and Mawi looked up adjusting the strap on her neck that held her drum on it.
She shuck the miniature mane out of her eyes and started padding forward again. She was starting to get second thoughts but there was not way she could not go through this.
She sighed as she flopped down, tapping her paws on the drum lightly waiting for something to stick out. She knew it would not be that easy though...

Mawi Mai huffed as she stood back up and adjusted the strap of her drum up then began walking. She felt her stomach rumble as she did. She walked toward a lake that she spoted and lapped up some water. She didn't want to pass out, in these lands so before she did anything straining she wanted to drink.
She growled playfully as she pulled off her drum and shakers so when she started to hunt nothing would make sound. She tucked her music makers behind a bush and covered the the best she could and started to go and hunt.
She approched a Gazelle. It was odd the little baby was by itsself. Maybe it was out like she was. Well it would be in her stomach soon. She grinned lightly and crouched down carfullly moving. She eyed the Gazelle harshly...
Now!
She jumped out of the bush and drug the rump of the animal down. She fought with it until she some how got to the neck and bit down on it until it stopped moving.
She looked around and as quickly as she could dragged it over to where she put her drum and shakers and slid them back on before starting to eat keeping an eye out for anything that she might have to run from.

Mawi yawned as she started to become full. She decided it was time to move before any hyena's came in. She streched her paws and started walking at a good pace looking for some where to rest so she could find a nice place to get inspired to start.
She huffed as she plopped down under neath a tree and started dancing around a bit out of boredom trying to figure out if she liked this place. Her shakers clacked togeather making a sound like a rattle snake..

Mawi sat up and started pounding her front paws on the drum. It made a sound that she liked. But she could only play one part. She tried other parts but it would not work.
As she pouned on it she shook her tail making the rattle snake sound again. She growled of frustration and sat back not happy with the way this was going so far. SHe curled up next to the drum thinking.

She must had feel asleep she remembered waking up the next evening, she slept through half of the next day. She growled frustrated, but in her mind she could her the shakers like a rattle snake, she liked that, she was glad it stuck in her mind. She shook her head and sat up looking at the base of the tree then the drum. She got up and walked over to the watering hole and lapped up some water before heading back to play with the drum again. And once again she was getting annoyed.
Then something hit her... Literately. She looked up at the tree she sat under. A nut bounced off of her head but there were no nuts, but a monkey pratcily cackling at what it just did.
"HEY!" She shouted and jumped up making sure she had her drum around her neck and her shakers on, she didn't want to leave them. "That wasn't right."
She watched as the monkey just out of the tree and was... teasing her, she began chasing it.
She never realized this before every time her feet one of her feet or two of her feet hit the ground it make a wonderful sound. And combined with the sound of her shakers and Idea hit her this time.
She stopped and watched the monkey as it kept on going. "THANK YOU MR. MONKEY!" She shouted joyfully and started going over the sound of running in her head with the drum in front of her.
Then he paws started moving. It sounded like running, like hunting something, her favorite things to do. She loved the sound. She started moving her tail adding the rattle snake sound. Then it all came to gather, sounded like a lion running from a rattle snake, but it sounded good.

Mawi grinned as she finished the beat up. She slowed down the running sound and kept the shakers going. Then the shakers went fast and the beating on the drum just stopped and the shaking faded. It went as if the lion got tired and the snake ended up winning.
She was proud of herself, she never did anything like that before. She'd never been able to it felt like she was ment to do that.
She was satififyed and hummed the beat as she gathered her things and headed back home. Ready to take the place that she wanted.
