Well, its not my work...I'm helping my friend.
She's doing an op-ed assignment on why abortion is bad.
She needs 3 reasons why abortion can be bad.
I tried looking for some...but they all suck a**!
I tried to help...but its kinda hard for me because I am not
completely against Abortion.
SO I can't really figure out 3 reasons
other then...you know....killing a
healthy baby that hasn't been born yet
and how its not really fair...
Thats all I can think of.

I'm pro choice but here's some ideas-
It causes an early end to people who might be able to contribute to our future and society.
It is sometimes considered murder of a human being that is in a perfectly fine state.
It can be causing of regret and if you can not get your fallopian tubes tied at a certain age, it should not be allowed t hat you should have a child and not abort it.
Many believe that the future leaders of the world are being killed by abortion, and it is often considered hateful for a woman to do such a thing to their own offspring, seeing as it's their fault they had the kid in most cases.

I'm not against abortion either, but if you still need reasons, here are some more:
1. Abortion can sometimes be dangerous for the mother, even if it is done correctly.
2. Abortion can leave lasting emotional damage to the mother [for example, someone who wanted to have that baby but was talked into an abortion by someone else].
3. If the mother is not given the correct therapy beforehand [as in, she has no one to speak to about whether she is doing the right thing for her], she can later have regrets about what she did.
There are some sites out that your friend can look into, but [I believe that] some anti-abortion sites go really overboard with the propaganda. A lot of these 'reasons' are have been proven false by science, such as the one that an eight week old fetus can feel pain, or things like that. I agree, the majority of the reasons tend to fall apart when you really look at them... but... *shrugs*

But sometimes adoption... the mother couldn't handle that. In my opinion, it would be a million times harder to give my baby up - no matter how wonderful of a home they were getting - than it would be to have an abortion. For some people, it's just not a very good option, as hard as that may be to understand.

It's not the same. When you give your child up for adoption, you've actually given birth to your baby. You've felt the connection between mother and child. You've carried that baby for nine months. Do you know how hard it would be to say good-bye? To know that your baby is out there somewhere, but not knowing where, knowing he or she might not even know about you, and not knowing for sure that it is being cared for? At least with abortion, you don't have the time to form the connection with the baby that you would otherwise.
