Basicly.. same guy.. more than a yr now.. cant get enough of em. dont want too. Best thing ever happened to me. We're engaged. Sound stupid? (obviously, you just said that in your head didnt you?) well I still have another 2 yrsof school to finish. and he has one.. then he's joining the marine corps as enlisted. while I have to go to college to be an officer for the marine corps. we want to get married this summer.. before I leave. I'm 16.. he turns 18 April 1st.. (my april fool. <3) but honestly.. Its not just a highschool sweetheart..
we want to prove them wrong..
we will prove them wrong.
thoughts? opinions? worked out? didnt work out? agree? disagree?

I'm not going to try and deny you love this guy, but should you wait a few years before you're absolutely sure?
Marriage is an expensive, and long, emotionally draining commitment. o_o;
And you don't have to get married to prove you love him.
I dunno. I wouldn't marry anybody unless I'd been with them for five years or more.
People change, and then so do other things. o_o You really shouldn't rush marriage. You have your whole life to cook meals for ungrateful assholes and do their laundry while your at it.

This is one of those cases where I'd normally just wish you luck, not expecting anything to come of it. But, instead, just wait a while before marrage, stay engaged until hes at least been at the marine corps for a year or so, so you know your relationship can last through it, and is strong enough to cope with the distance.

I've been with a person for a year and 4 months and not have it work out. I've been with a person for two years and not have it work out.
But, after experiencing what I feel in my relationship right now, I can relate to how you feel.
I have just one thing to say and it's fine if you don't listen to me, you're going to do what you're going to do... but, STAY ENGAGED until you're older. I think you're too young to get married, honestly.
I would hate for you to rush it and not truly, like, enjoy it. Because you'll feel like your wasting time up until you leave and are separated. You'll be like: Holycrapweonlyhavethismuchtimeleft and then you'll be all: WE ONLY HAVE THIS LONG LEFT.
You need to ENJOY the time you have now and not waste it with wedding preparation. I think if you wait you'll appreciate your wedding more. I mean, come on, you're engaged, you're obviously still bonded together... but yeah, just, wait... o_o Please.
I know that, personally, I'd probably be a bit mentally scared to tell people I'm "engaged" let alone "I'm married." I'd love to say I'm a "long term girlfriend" for a looooooooong time.
