As you all probably know; there are more working color-names provided by Gaia in the tag-menu. The easiest and best way to exactly define the color you wish is obviously by using the HTML number, which you can generate using Photoshop or similar software.
However, I wondered how many and which color-names work on Gaia, so I googled it. ^^ I have so far found the colors listed below. Know any more that work? Let me know, and I'll add them to the list! biggrin

Michael Noire here's the program i use when getting color codes for various posts and essays, like BST and QST. http://goldennumber.net/color.htm Ooh, handy that! biggrin I was looking for a link to one of them, but I didn't have much luck... Thanks for that one ^^

i sometimes make up colors...
in general, the letter codes you are allowed to play with are F, B, and C, while the numbers range from 0-9.
for example, B00000 is red. while FFFFFF is white, and 000000 is black. Note that sometimes computers will interpret 000 and OOO as the same.

*Disbelief that somebody actually bothered to type all this* What about the other million colors you forgot to list? xd Photoshop generates HTML codes for just about every color imaginable... Except my favorite... Pantone(TM) 1378 M.

I made those up!! >.< I was proud of my FA7A55 Color!!! gonk Anyway, I'm just talking about the colors that can be generated through not entering an HTML Color Code, but by filling in the name, such as: HOMG! PWETTEE! Which results in: HOMG! PWETTEE!I know there are TONS of other different colors; 16777216 different ones to be exact, but as you probably understand I can't be assed to type all those out... xd

Shows you're willing to put time into your posts and it's in some cases a lot easier on the eyes. With this thread the colors of the rainbow are at your finger tips rofl

Thanks guys ^^ I'm glad you all appreciate it... I was personally thinking of making some sort of extra formatting resource area in the Beta Guide, where all working tags are listed for users, with added handy tips and explanation... ^^ As for stickying this thread: So far it's still been on the first page, so there's no real need to! ^^
Also a nice tip for formatting on this one: When you're doing multiple posts, and have differently colored banners for each post (like we have in the old Alfa Guide) then you could try copying that banner into Photoshop, using the dropper tool to select the color of the banner. Then enter the Color-selection-menu, copy the HTML code it generated and apply it on your text, to match the banner! ^^ Works like a charm, and gives it a quite nifty look! 3nodding
