The big black maned male had watched happily as his cubs slowly grew from small, damp, blind and deaf bundles in to wide eyed bushy tailed cubs. he admired his cubs and played with them, happy to lay on his back and allow the six squirming babes to clamber all over him. He would never deny any of his children anything but there were certain things that he had to tell his sons. Certain things he had to lay down to his male children.
It was then that when the sun rose that the large custard yellow male sat at the mouth of the den quietly waiting for his children to stir. They never took very long, they were usually up with the first cry of the first bird, awaking their parents. liza happily sheparded the cubs away to let Koi sleep. It was his job after all to make sure that she was cared for as well as the cubs and it was his responsability to take the cubs away to play until koi wished to rise from her slumber.
Today was a special day though, he would need to segregate the boys from their sisters and ask Kois permission to take the males away and leave the females in her care for a time. There was much he needed to empart upon his sons and he would do it away from the females for he knew koi would endow the wisdom of females upon them, he in turn had to give his sons the truth about the world and the place they were to take in the grand scheme of things.
