Well, I was just curious, PE.

I read a book for a project called Fahrenheit 451, and it kinda made me think about our generation and how we take books forgranted. It was basically about how in the story, books were illegal, and if anyone had any, you'd be arrested, your house would be burnt down, and the books would be burnt too.

So since we're all a group of beautiful and intelligent people, I wanted to ask... do you read books regularly?

Just something to add to the posts here in the guild.

i never read books
or it's rare that I do.
the book has to really, really, really interest me
I think I'm a bit crazy
because I enjoyed 'running with scissors' the best
and the book is pretty messed up
:/

I like reading. Mostly I read autobiographies because I like to know about other peoples lives, and not about made up bullshit that would probably never happen in real life.

Although, Memoirs of a Geisha and a trilogy of books I read were really interesting. I forget their names though sweatdrop

You should make a list of books that people recommend 3nodding

i LOVE to read a write (i blog, but that's it. i don't have the patience for much else).
i'm very picky with books, though.
if i'm not grabbed by the first few pages, i know i won't get far in the book.
my all time two favorite series are twilight, by stephenie meyer (pfft, call me trendy, it's a good series) and uglies, by scott westerfeld.

i also really like the book it's kind of a funny story, by ned vizzini.

what my mother doesn't know and what my girlfriend doesn't know, by sonya sones are good as well.

however, my ALL-TIME favorite book (not series) would have to be the perks of being a wallflower, by stephen chbosky. he's such a good writer, and relating to the characters is easy.
i fell in love with that book so quickly. i love every bit of it, even if it is a short book.♥

I love reading and writing.
My current favourite series is; the twilight, new moon and eclipse series. I also really am enjoying The It Girl series. xD Its too good. The Gemma Doyle series was good too. I never woulda guessed the surprise ending the had in the final book.
I will read any book that has; been written by tamora peirce, vampires, high school stuff and medival settings.
Like the book pirates! That was a good book. I also enjoy books like the color purple which are heart wrenching but a very good educator.
:] Like I said, I love to read. That's what I do all summer.

i love reading.
:3
my favourites are creepy s**t,
like about obsession, stalkings, killing a love-interest's signifigant other,
etc.
it's a plus if the book featured alot of deep quotes and psychological s**t.

my favourite book right now is Backroads.
it's really, really really great.

Well, I would definitely recommend Fahrenheit 451. It would really make something think.

Sarah Dessen is awesome. My favorite is Dreamland. But I have most of her books too. She's the author who wrote that one movie with Mandy Moore... I forgot what it was called.

Well, I've read one Judy Bloom. It was okay, but it was pretty sexual.

I've gotten into The Insiders too.

It's pretty good. smile

I read when I have the time. Augusten Burroughs is funny. I want to read more of Terry Prachett, but I liked Going Postal. I loved Sophie's World. We read that this year.

I usually don't read unless I have to, but this girl at my work [ BURGER KING ] had this book called Thong on Fire. I was reading it for hours.
It was about this ghetto girl who basically gave everyone BJs and got famous.
